All good but if I may add - carry your passport with you! I used Nexus but was asked once to show my passport. Secondly, good luck with the arrival kiosks for Nexus. Last three times it would not work for myself or my wife. We were directed to a very nice CBSA lady who told us they had been having issues for some months. We had to queue to be cleared.

Hi Ross, thank you for your comment. These are some valid points - I would also recommend to travel with passport as a precautionary measure. Sometimes Nexus lanes might be closed or you can be asked to provide additional information. As for kiosks, it all depends on the airport and individual case. When we traveled together, one of us came through the kiosk with no issues and another was asked to go to the officer. It happens🤷🏼 but in any case, we were never asked to join the main line - they had us go to the next available officer right away. Can you please share which airport had issues with kiosks at arrival?

In order to be eligible for this program, you parents need to have Canadian visa and physically be in Canada during application. Once they apply, they are allowed to go outside the country, as long as they have eligible documents to come back (like visitor visa). They would also have to be in Canada once PR is approved. He has a Hong Kong birth certificate but he is not of Chinese descent ( he’s south Asian ). He’s not a citizen of Britain … so I’m thinking, he only has one citizenship (Canadian ). Hi there! That’s a really good question! It can be tricky with the countries or territories that changed the name or jurisdiction. But in your case, I think you provided all information to the best of your knowledge. If your husband only has Canadian citizenship now, and doesn’t have UK citizenship, you stated everything correctly. The officers might ask your husband about where he was born or whether he ever had other citizenships - in this case it would make sense to elaborate and tell them what you described here. The interview is more of a conversation rather than a test of your application knowledge:) so answer the questions they ask calmly, be concise, don’t dive too deep into explanations - just a “question-answer” format. Let us know how it goes! Good luck!

I don’t think your explanation of what documentation you need to bring to your Nexus interview is quite clear enough. You *must* bring your passport to the interview in addition to another piece of photo ID, otherwise you’ll be required to reschedule your interview. Hi there. Some museums have dubbed English descriptions, some don’t. We used google translate app - it has a camera feature that translate the text live. It was very helpful in such situations:) In terms of best time to visit, I think this city is great anytime of the year! It may get pretty hot in the summer months. December and January can be colder, so do take sweaters and long pants. And take into account that it can be colder inside as they don’t have central heating and windows are fairly thin. I can say that end of February-March was the most comfortable weather wise. It was warm enough but not too hot. If this can’t be done, you should let the officer know at the interview that you address has changed. Once you book your first part of the interview, the other one will be automatically booked for you in the other side of the border on the same day. There’s a third option, if you choose to have your interview in a Canadian airport.
