Buddy-ro's Bean Sheller - Initial Run

My homemade bean sheller. Note that I made a mistake in the video - the motor turns at 1725 RPM, but the shaft/ paddles are turning at 575 RPM and the drum at 80 RPM.

3rd Annual Christmas Tree Burn
zhlédnutí 95Před 13 lety
The good ole annual Christmas tree burn. For years now we've driven around town and collected trees, dropping them off load by load at the burn site. This is the third year we've done the burn at this new, better location, though, hence the "3rd Annual". The rule is each year must top the previous year. We had 21 trees on the fire and two large area rugs whereas last year was 17 trees, 6 pallet...
Excellent design!
Will it shell purple hull peas too? Looks & runs good.
That is so freakin cool. I used to do that with my grandfather watching tv. He would have loved that thing.
❤🎉❤😂🎉❤
I want plans
What size are all the pulleys?
Paddles won't spin at motor speed with that big pulley
Super thank you
Steam punk without the steam or the punk. Cool machine.
Where did you find the plans?
Would like to see it shell some beans that are green and not dry because green ones are much harder to shell as I’m sure you know…
do you have 3D cad ?
Prolly could build this thing now in 2022 for about $1500!!! #FJB
there is a person from serbia that died from this , you should put some cover on the top and dont get close to it while is working
Dude thats awesome. Like to see how it does with a full load
Well done. that is very nice and efficient.
Is a blueprint and info this, I can make extra money shelling peas and butterbeans.
Please please please make the main shaft a little bigger....
It's 5/8. Plenty strong for this application.
do you sell plans/blueprint for this machine ? Thanks
I watched your butter bean threshing video. I guess I don't understand how the butter beans get out of your round metal basket and end up falling below as the butter beans look to be bigger than any holes in your rat wire.
They're close, but still smaller than the holes in the wire.
I want to make this
Please send me its making vdo
Nice machine! Could you give any info on the big pulley bolted to the drum? Where did you buy it? Would it have a specific name?
V belt pulley. I don’t know what size but there are ways to calculate the size you need based on the motor you want to use.
Sweet! What width are the belts on this machine?
Wow this is totally awesome !!!!!
How do I build it? Thanks Jimmy
Very nice!
How much
How much what ?
This device or machine
You have just made my wife's love of beans tolerable. Thank you, sir!
How does it work on fresh beans the demo was dried beans just wondering thanks
Works just fine. I had to run it a little longer, but the results were just as good.
Great job! Does it work with fresh peas or it breaks them?
I'm not it would work well with small peas. I would probably have to change the screens to finer weave. I did try some purple hull peas last summer and it worked pretty well.
Bulok
Check the video with the new driveshaft installed before you criticize.
is it possible to operate with a hand crank instead of motor?
Do you have any plans available to build this machine?
james Lundy Sorry, but no. Look on CZcams for bean sheller videos from Cecil Ray. I didn't follow his instructions exactly, but took most of my inspiration from him.
Do you have plans so I can figure out how to make this?
Sorry, didn't go by any plans specifically, nor did I write any down. I drew most of my inspiration from some videos posted here by Cecil Ray. Look for his bean sheller videos - he goes into more detail.
Good day, can I contact you privately for more information about the machine and its design? We are highly interested in this project. Thank you
Very nice. Straight forward design.
What are the measurements and parts?
Congrats. This is the easiest design I have seen for a thresher.
Yogesh Kayanpad thanks !!!!
necesito comprar una de estas maquinas cuanto cuesta
Naty Dominguez it depends on the price of materials in your area. I built this one for approximately $450USD
It's mean black gram skin remove process. I want to know please can you explain homemade process
I'm sorry but I don't think I can help with that . I'm not familiar with black gram.
No problem but thank you for replied
hi sir can explain black gram dehusking process
I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about ?
I like what you did there. I'm doing something similar with mine- Wanted to know exactly what components you used on the inside. What model Pyle amp is that, do you like it, how much power, etc.
Thanks ! I used a Pyle PDA5BU receiver w/ built in amp. I bought it because it was cheap, but mainly because it was the only receiver in my budget that would fit inside of the console. I don't recommend it - leaves a lot to be desired, especially the bluetooth. The speakers are Micca MB42. I ran some 16 ga speaker wire with banana clips between the receiver and speakers. The receiver has a separate line in, so I bought a better bluetooth hub and ran it into that. It works better, but the crappy receiver still produces noise. I the receiver has a 200watt amp. Price has gone up on amazon since I bought mine.
Buena sheets, amigo !
did you find plans to go by . I'd love to build one myself
Not really. I mainly just looked at other examples. The biggest help was from this man's videos - cecilrayp

always wanted one . very interested to see how it turns out. looking good nice work
Thanks ! I actually just uploaded the trial run video. It did a great job. I'm going to have to replace the drive shaft and make one or two other small modifications, but I'm very pleased with the results for the first run !
i have a cub that i use for my yard chores on my 2 acre lot, im not into buying a sub compact, well i have any early sub compact it didnt cost me 20 grand and has a whole lot more prestige. i will say i love cubs in general but it seems like you have enough property to need a bigger tractor. maybe a farmall H or an M
Great vid! I wonder if it would get hot doing that for 12 hours in 95F? Could a guy get 3,000hrs out of the engine working it like that?
@231MasseyFerguson I'll tell him that
@50sChevyKING Thats what it sounds like to me too... In my opinion, someone who knows what they're doing needs to take a look at that tractor.
