Turning Old Jewelry into a Pure Gold Bar 10oz 24K
What do you do with older family heirlooms that are out of style or just never worn? Often, these old pieces are cherished but tend to sit unused and underappreciated. I very much enjoy recreating these pieces into something new for families to appreciate.
I chemically refine the karat gold into pure gold and pour it into beautiful new Lithic Gold Bars. New treasure that continues to carry the sentimental value the family holds so dear.

Creating a Set of Twin Bars Worth More Than Gold!

Imagine getting the chance to help create a special gift for a newborn set of twins. What a wonderful opportunity. I recently received a gold bar to re-pour into a Lithic bar. Unfortunately, when I examined the bar, I suspected it might be slightly contaminated with base metals. @LithicMetals First off I never said it was magic, Second, I was referring to precious metals being mined in the world, if silver can be made like this the price will never go up do to it not being that scarce?

    • @LithicMetals
      @LithicMetals Před 3 dny

      I didn't word my response very well. The reference to magic was to "making" silver. Because that would be a kind of magic. I didn't make anything. The silver was in the solution. I used copper to recover it. In order for silver to be in solution, someone ie. Me, had to put it there.

Second, a minor question: Why do you refer to silver, when combined with gold, as a "base metal." I thought "base metal" referred to an inexpensive metal, such as copper, tin, zinc, or lead, and not a precious metal, such as platinum, gold, or silver. Am I misunderstanding something?
