S7 was somewhat both a terrible final season but also the obvious ending season. Obvious in the sense that since it was all about how Hank finally decides to grow up and take in the mature, but frankly boring daily life. Terrible because it feels like the people involved just wanted to finish off as soon as possible, with barely exploring character arcs or conflicts, like a low risk boring normal ending. They could have done much better, and atleast by the end, it was Karen who didn't deserve Hank, not the other way round

The ending of s4 with Rolling Stone's You can't always get what you want is so emotional and perfect it made me cry... S4 really was the best, the whole legal plus movie set plus issues resolving everything, also feels like they did want to end the thing there, s5 was okayish, s6 was actually pretty damn good, the whole Faith angle, another near perfect ending, should have stayed with maggie grace!!

Through simple ups and downs .. regarding to his words : " a writer who behaves like a rock star" .. effortlessly mesmerizing , writers , intellectuals , scholars are depicted to be usually boring ; if one of them could be so funny , sure I do , think lot of people watching Hank surviving , thriving

For me by far the favourite episode was "In Utero" about Kurt Cobain's death and Karen's pregnancy. I remember it was exactly that episode where i hooked onto the show for something much more emotional and deeper, until then i was more the witiness and honestly the nudity, but that episode was so bloody good!!

You are fucking crazy. Season 1 is a good introduction bute theres no way its the best season. Id rather watch season 2 twice than season 1 once. S6 is good but season 2 is the best. Lew ashby is fucking great and the relationship between lew and karen and hank and lews ex really work for me S3 is dogshit cause it basically adds nothing to the story and disappears from relevance in season 4. The only reason to watch season 3 is because you kinda need it for context so you can stop watching after season4 because its a perfect fucking conclusion to the show. We didnt need anything beyond it. And season5 and 7 are both awful so i honestly dont care wich one you put last. 7, 5, 3, 6, 1, 4, 2

We all know everything after season4 isnt worth watching. And tbh s3 isnt that good either. But 1, 2 and 4 are fucking bangers

She is great for the role however the writers made her too scripted. Think of that shitpile show Gilmore girls. Every line is spoken as if it’s speed reading time from a horrible script. I don’t care how smart and advanced she is for her age, no 12 year old is going to speak the way Becca spoke. Way too scripted, methodical, and robotic. She did a great job with the characters, it’s the writers that ruined her character.

for me most hated is KAREN

Just watched seasons 1-7 for the second time. Did not like 7 pretty much at all but the ending isn’t on my negatives list. I mean how else could it have ended realistically? In my mind Hank is a horrible narcissist and Karen is the victim and an enabler. The push and pull dynamic they have is there through the show. Everytime Karen gets away from Hank he starts to hoover her and comes back into her life just to find other women. And the man never takes any responsibility and everything is always someone elses fault. Season 7 has lazy writing and the son, Levon spelled backwards is Novel - ”a novel,new, idea” to try out for the main plot of a season. Didn’t quite work but it’s not the fault of anyone in the cast. I would have like to known though what Hank wrote about in his book ”Californication” that we can see him taking pics of in the beginning of season 5.

Definitely one of the greatest tv shows of our era. And a show that is hardly talked about. A legit tearjerker, and stupendously funny.

I actually really enjoy watching season 5. I look forward to it when I rewatch. While the previous seasons were great, this was a fresh start for the series by starting it a few years after the last season. Yeah it's a little jumbled, but still a great season in my opinion.

Let me make it short: he bangs hot women which makes us jealous, but not too jealous because his real love is unattainable due to his ego getting in his own way. He's a Hollywood screenwriter fanatasy of what a man should be, which is a witty man that has to bang every young woman he sees, while pondering about love, friendship and writing.

I'm shocked that you ranked Season 6 as the second best. I must say, rewatching it made me love it a bit more, but I wouldn't say ia good enough to get Silver medal.

Because californication is so true to life it takes an absolutely broken man and somehow after all the shit and still keeps hope doesnt even flinch looking into the eye of misery he just takes it on the chin

episode 3x08 the apartment is by far the most funny

I feel like Hank’s true Soulmate was Faith. They both fell for each other when they were at their lowest and because of that it can only go up hill. I feel like there was a more deep emotional connection between them than anyone else Hank has been with. I think Faith accepted and loved Hank for his true authentic self. I do love Karen and Hanks relationship, but I always felt Karen loved the idea of Hank and this version of him she created in her head, than she did for Hank himself. I feel like since Hank and Karen got it right the first time, that every time they got back together they were always trying to go back to the way it was. I don’t think they were healthy for each other. Karen and Hank didn’t help each other grow or mature. Their back and forth became redundant after a while. I wished the writers would’ve had Maggie Grace back for Season 7 as Faith. I think Hank belonged with Faith over anyone else he was romantically involved with. Hank always seemed calm and genuinely happy when he was with Faith. He didn’t have to pretend or prove to be something he wasn’t with Faith. I was a Karen and Hank shipper until Season 6. I was over it by then. When I saw the dynamic between Hank and Faith, I was like that is the woman he should be with.

#1.Even though at his core he is a good, caring man and doesn't want to cause others pain, he just doesn't give an eff. #2. He allows life to take him where it wants him to go. anytime I've decided to not try and control, but to let it happen, my life is the most fun and successful.

No. Way. That's little whiney kid almost single handedly ruined it the whole series. Well, no it couldn't ruin how awesome the first six seasons are but this kid made me sick and Heather Graham wasn't as hot or good a character as I'd hoped. I did like Michael Imperioli a lot but, somehow, my favorite was Mary Lynn Rajskub's Goldie character. She was a psycho nutjob and killed me. Once again, unlike everybody who's seen the show, I couldn't stand Karen. I think she's irittating and ugly.....I just don't get the fascination with her.

Every one of these lists irritates the eff out of me. I cannot stand Karen and don't think she's good looking in even a minor way. She's always put at number one and i just don't get it. Faith was so frickin hot and so cool. Not a dingbat or psycho like a lot of the others so she was about the only one I think would be cool if he lasted with. As far as the just smokin hot one's....that's tough to rank. I hate the fact that I now have to pay to watch the show again but I may do it because it's been awhile and I need to see some really good tv again.

Season 6 is so poor in my opinion. Two words. Tim Minchin. Annoyed the hell out of me!!!!! Agree?!
