He's in charge of the plastic. He watches the rolls to see how much material is left, then puts on a new roll when necessary. He also makes sure the plastic is tracking well, and that the plastic is staying in the "tuck." That's the channel on each side of the bed where the plastic gets "tucked in" and covered by dirt to hold it in place. He is also pushing down on those yellow bars to push the plastic all the way down into the tuck. He makes it look easy. Most of the time it is a dusty, bumpy ride back there!

Hello. This machine is a stake PULLER. We do not make a piece of equipment that automatically insert stakes. BUT, we do have a helper machine...yes, our Stake Driver. We don't have any videos of it in the field, but this video (czcams.com/users/shortsrk664B3HgUs) shows its basic operation. The particular farmer already had a compressor on a trailer, so he asked that the back of this driver has a hitch to attach his compressor trailer. Compressor feeds the booms, which feed the pneumatic hoses, which feed the 100PSI pneumatic hammers. Workers walk the vegetable rows and manually set the stakes, then hammer them home! We did make a version of this driver a while back that had little platforms, that hung from the booms, for the workers to "ride on", and still use the pneumatic hammer to drive the stakes.

Hi Mario, this is an end-of-season implement. It burns the vegetation and vaporizes the plastic. The model with the booms also vaporizes the strings off of tomato plants. A disc is usually run over the ground after this process to get the soil ready for next season. Please check with your state/area as some regions do not allow this process (aka burning plastic). Hi John, thanks for the comment. First, this vid was is a tad unfair. Bo didn't have time to fully tweak the cultivator adjustments before we started filming. He did get one row dialed-in by the end of our session, and he adjusted all of them after we left. Second, the soil is only disrupted between the rows. If the hiller discs are too close to the plastic, it will definitely catch and rip. Lastly, the discs actually throw another layer of soil over the tuck to help keep it in place.

This particular piece was built to spec for the customer, but we can make any alterations to fit your preferences.

Yeah unfortunately that's the truth. Ped0 Peter needs to stop selling our oil to china, allow pipelines and restart domestic production because Russia is charging us way too much for crude and natural gas

Fair comment. This machine is also good for organic farming, and less chemical use, in general, has its benefits.
