Giant bamboo update of sorts.

An update on my Japanese garden. Trying to trim the Phyllostachys aurea back before the imminent rain. An update on the ponds. The sad, sluggy demise of my hostas. And a pair of hebes that look like a bum.
Recommended lettuce mix. Failed marigolds. Brotherly sunflower rivalry.

Noticed you’ve stopped posting allotment videos. What’s the reason. COME BACK! 😂 I want to see how your allotment is doing
Beautiful places and walks. Video Like 👍
So it kinda dives and vanishes, but what is underneath the water?
I love it. As the video is 7 years old, it must be looking good by now
Winnie Wallace..... Pity they didn't put music to this walk. Heavy breathing and plodding feet sounds didn't make it enjoyable to look at.
Amazing
hey! Any update? I loved the content :/

Shit hole of a place.
We didn't need to see the manboobs or know that you're a tryhard runner in a skinny red top, and the view you showed is completely blocked by mist 😂
Just saw this last night and love this!
My favorite song! Thank you!
Is this real? Where does it come out?
Nothing special and the sound ruined by cars.
Cars, yes. But it is a beautiful view. I bet if you took a photo there 3 times a day for a year you'd have some gorgeous shots.
Actually, I did wonder what it was all about years ago. Listening to Peter Gabriel's song.
Yes, I believe it is worth of a song. Now if only someone could write a song about it...
Shouldn't leave the tap running.
Javert in the Weir would survive these days...
First time that I have ever seen the weir disappear!
Worse back in 1953 when I had to make my way to Widcombe Primary School on foot from my home in Laura Place.
Bath time?
My goodness haven’t seen the water at pulteney bridge that high for a while
„“Our duty is to our shareholders“ 21st century PRIVATISED Britain…..the only country in the world to privatise its water industry. Take a look at the difference between the cost of the water you use and the total bill……..then make them wait before you pay it.
Comment of the week goes to you Sir.
Climate change. And too large a human population all over the world. Sending best wishes to those living there from Canada where our forests were on fire for over half a year. And will likely be that way again this year.
Don't be rude. Yes, it has everything to do with climate change. Floods may always have been part of the natural cycle but not so often and to the degree that are being experienced now. Just like the forest fires in Canada. It was absolutely horrific this year and will likely continue. I don't know about you but I prefer a planet that is full of life, not a desert of death. So deal with reality!@user-vg7fe4wk6s
Worse in 1953 when I went to school from Laura Place to Widcombe Primary on foot (aged 4).
Really? We're going to play this game? Climate change is happening all over the globe and all we need to do is look at the signs. Let's get smarter as a species and stuff using fossil fuels!@@herbypumpkin1256
That is why this place was called Bath for many centuries.
Hope someone pulls out the plug.
Disrespect Mother Nature and be prepared to suffer 😢
This came up on my recommended probably because we are visiting in April. I am so sorry for what had happened. We live in Brisbane Australia, and are all too familiar with floods. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this disaster.
Same here! We’re in Brisbane but hail from nr Bath. Seeing the Bathampton pub and surrounds under is shocking. The canal must be a mess 🥺
I see the usual denialist bs comments are on here. Sympathy to all those affected
😮it's shocking
They should make all those unused shipping containers water tight then fill them and sell the water to desert countries.
Someone forgot to turn the taps off?
Omg, this is proof of global warming
No, this is an event. Proof of global warming is in the statistics for the past 40 years.
Ummmm… go back and check the history of floods timeline.
Get your bible out and read about a bloke called Noah. What's going on there is nothing compared to the global warming back then. Still can't figure out how he got 2 of every animal from Australia and NZ, or where all that water went. Maybe it's covered in the second edition. You may notice that storms are now given names. It's all part of the psychology to scare you into submission to the WEF global warming scam.
This is proof of lack of planning, too many houses on flood plains, too little planning on how to design ditches to both drain the land during normal weather, but hold water back during storms like this. Too little spend geoengineering flood plains to hold more water back/store water. Lack of money spent on high volumn pumps and pipes to remove water quickly into the sea from flooded area's. The only thing it proves is that the uk gov and councils couldn't buy a clue. I could fix this, i know how to but i do not have a voice or a job with the environment agency where you can take a wage for zero achievements.
@@matthewbooth9265 yeah, yeah, I know... if you were in charge, Matt, everything would be perfect 🙄
This is what happens when you do not dredge the rivers for 2 decades. ALL BY DESIGN. The Age of Aqua Rheas has arrived.
Not that bad 1968 was far worse
Not exactly great either is it!
I take it you don't live in Bath.
@@JBaxter-pi8oj I have lived in bath all my life
I get that but that doesn't mean you don't see the bigger picture!@@christopher554
This is the worst iv seen it! Bathampton Mill has only just been fitted out from the last flood. Thanks for sharing
Wow. That’s a lot of water. Hope not too many businesses and homes have been badly affected. Take care. Nick
Rivers noted dredged for decades.. All by design.
@@GMT439 Dredging the river is just one stitch amongst many trying to keep the worsening wound (climate change) from killing its host. I see on every English flooding channel people (or propaganda bots, mixture of the two when people start believing the bots) declaring that it’s simply the rivers haven’t been dredged lol. Be prepared for much more of this in the future, and also droughts (yes you can have both too much and too little water at different times (as hard as it seems to be for many to grasp))
Certainly hope no lives endangered or property loss. We know all too well the horrors of storms.
Why no eagles flying?
