    The banker Bartholomeus V. Welser of Augsburg lent the Emperor Charles V a great sum of money for which, in 1528, he received as security the Province of Venezuela, developing it as Klein-Venedig (little Venice). From 1528 to 1556, seven expeditions led to the plunder and exploitation of local civilizations in search of the gold city of Manoa at El Dorado in Venezuela. The first germans governors Ambrosius Alfinger (1529-1533), Nicolas Federmann, and Georg von Speyer captured and enslaved local amerindians after their failed attempts to find El Dorado on the Venezuelan plains and jungles. The Welsers contributed to the establishment of cities such as Neu Augsburg (now Coro), Neu Nurenberg (now Maracaibo), and Santa Fe (now Bogotá). Bartholomeus VI. Welser, called the Young, explored Venezuela ad Colombia along with Philipp von Hutten and both were executed at El Tocuyo by local Spanish Governor Juan de Carvajal in 1546. But in consequence of their rapacious acts, the Welsers were deprived of their rule on Venezuela before the Emperor's reign was over.

    i clicked on this because i'm interested in biochar. but, instead of good info about biochar improving soil quality, i got a bunch of propaganda about the "global warming" hoax. the global warming hoax is pushed by a few elites who want to control the earth's energy supply - they know very well that whoever controls energy, controls the world.

    Pretty sure it’s safe to say the explorer who wrote about everything he saw in his trip to the Amazon was largely embellished if not completely false. It really makes the most sense even tho I want it to be the exact opposite. Gettin funding for expeditions would obviously be difficult. Coming back w/o anything wouldn’t entice ppl to finance more trips. Solution? Make up stories about incredible things witnessed just out of the reach. Fundraising for future trips suddenly becomes much easier

    Have they made any progress? I see very few new videos talking about progress. Have seen some older University test saying Biochar does not increase the yields of crops. But I guess it would take carbon dioxide out of the air. Which is the main goal!

    • @majestiictv
      @majestiictv Před rokem

      Biochar alone will not do much as it's just an empty vessel. You have to "activate" it with microbial life by combining with a high quality compost.

    • @michaelgusovsky

      why would you want to take carbon dioxide out of the air? it's what plants need to breathe. there's barely any co2 as it is, only 0.4% of the atmosphere is co2. we need more carbon dioxide in the air, not less.

    My analysis; It's simply dug out a hole comprised of household waste which was burned to maintain your waste management. One can see samples of this still practised in rural areas in Malaysia. There is no proper collection of waste in these areas so this type of method is applied. Burned waste are indeed more productive than clay soil mostly found here.

    Mr Lovelock is proceeding on bad math. CO2 ( and greenhouse gas in general ) is almost certainly not solely responsible for warming. It is, however, politically the ONLY cause of warming.

    MAKE SURE THE BIOCHAR YOU CREATE COMES FROM HUMAN CREATED WASTE STREAMS! Making money off an ancient technology is despicable greedy Capitalism. And that is exactly why we are in a Global climate crisis. This should be free & part of the municipality. Its all hands on deck, stop making money over this, give it freely or teach every human being to practice this properly.

    They need to make methane bio-digestors. A container, cow manure, connected to a hose connected to an inner tube, safely connected to a hose, connected to a gas stove. When inner tube inflates you have methane gas. Safety issue is flame 🔥 going back into biodigestor and exploding. Messy & smelly.

    The stupid, ignorant farmers in the Amazon need to be stopped, before they destroy the entire forest. They say the Amazon is the lungs of the planet. These farmers need to use other methods to farm. The “Back to Eden” method might be one of them, plus the use of charcoal, as discussed here. But they need to also farm where the soil conditions are better, overall, and that’s not in the jungle.
