Thank you for reacting to Onmyo-za. The suggestions others have made below are all excellent, but then Onmyo-za may be my favorite band so I might be a little biased. One song I would add is "Aisuru mono yo, Shi ni souroe" which is an excellent example of Matatabi's (the male singer) usual vocals along with the harmonies he creates with Kuroneko (the female singer). It is one (of many) of their songs that are inspired by the Ninja Scrolls series of novels. The song recommended below, Koga Ninpocho, is the theme song of the anime Basilisk, which is based on one of those novels. Vary Thank you for introducing them. Onmyo-za has a long career as a Japanese metal band, but they may not be that well-known, especially overseas. Perhaps because they value their own character, they rarely appear in major media. However, they have a lot of fans in Japan. By the way, this song has a particularly dark and serious element to it, but their style is diverse and never boring, with orthodox power metal, speed metal, beautiful ballads, and fun festival songs. Both male and female vocalists can sing the main vocals. What I want to point out most of all is that they are particular about expressing traditional Japanese melodies and atmospheres without using Japanese instruments. And their lyrics that describe ancient Japanese monsters (yokai) and their worldview are skillful and interesting. That's why they are also called "yokai heavy metal". Sorry for the long post. This is actually one of my favorite bands. Lots of their other songs are less growly so if you're interested in their other stuff, you'd probably like it more than you did this one. Maybe check out Seiten no Mikazuki. (czcams.com/video/fcVSDmJmJfU/video.html) I like how they use both the vocalists (it's mainly her taking the lead but the guy has some songs where he's the main one, and he does do clean vocals.)
