Hello, compliments on the nice and informative video. Only remark I have, is that at the end, you wrongly switch (mix up) the mass flow and pressure ratio columns while copying the excel data to the program table.

Hi. Do you know how to model a pipe which is closed (capped) at the end? I have searched everywhere and couldn't find any answer to this! This is very frustrating because this is quite a simple practical case which is very common in the field. Thanks.

How do you get the sizing pump tab? My pipeflo does not have sizing pump as an option only centrifugal, pressure gain, fan, blower and compressor. Thank you!
Mine doesn't have it either
The pump sizing symbol is not available in the latest versions of the software. The software is intelligent enough to know that you are doing a pump sizing based on the input information.
Did they remove the "Sizing Regulation Valve" in Pipe-Flo, or is there a way to add the feature?

hi. thanks for the great video. can the software calculate the pressure drop inside a rigid pipe for a given flowrate ( liquid or gas) without specifying the type of the pump and the tank connected to the pipe? the reason behind is that the pumps i use are subsea ones used to flood empty pipelines subsea and its not possible to have a tank connected to it ( the pipeline is flooded using the pressure differential subsea so no tank connected to the pump)
Yes you can calculate the pressure drop in a pipe by attaching "pressure boundary" at the start of the pipe and "flow demand" at the end of the pipe

Hi, Very interesting video. I have a question. I want to know how to calculate the pressure drop when there is a air release valve in the pipe. Lets say, I have a pump in the one end (start) and after 20 meter of Ø400mm pipe, I have a DN150 air release valve. Which will help to escape the air in the pipe before pipe is filled with water. How to calculate the pressure drop in the pipe?
We can build a piping network in Pipe flow with pump at the beginning and Air valve at the discharge of the pump. The pressure drop across Air Valve can be estimated using its size or can be obtained from its manufacturer.
Should I do Bs physics from Nust or Pieas? Considering that I want to apply for foreign universities after Bs.
