Is there somewhere I can download this video?
So beautiful
This is at St. Cantius in Chicago , close to downtown. My daughter and I go there as often as possible. It’s a beautiful church.
Can one join this congregation if not a US citizen?
while I love high mass very much the low mass during the week, at night, hearing the quiet prayers in a large church is so comforting
Hola, es iglesia hermosa , como se lo merece nuestro señor creador y salvador del mundo. El verdadero Rito tradicional gracias por mantenerlo intacto. Santa madre de Dios ora pro Nobis. Saludos cordiales Chile.
Question: since this is a high mass, why isnt incense used?
I never knew a high mass could be celebrated without incense
The august Mass of the ages sung in Latin. To God be the glory!
Este es el único Santo Sacrificio de la Misa. Amén
That was awesome. I attend Holy Catholic Anglican Rite and we have high mass every time, but this was a whole other level. Very powerful.
14:20 the chime is playing Vidi Aquam. Incredible ! How did you manage to do this ?
fssp-parra.org/wp-content/uploads/servers-cheat-sheet.pdf Very good guide for following whilst watching and learning 😊
I enjoyed seeing the traditional mess again. When I was in grammar school and high school, that’s all I ever had was traditional mass. I hate that I can too. As far as I’m concerned, I didn’t like it when they started having guitar mass and it has gone downhill ever since. I wish every church has at least one traditional mass every Sunday, if not every day. I didn’t go to church for 40 years because of that I come to although I am back now, but I still would rather have the traditional mass.
Sursum Corda ❤✝️
So beautiful, but so pitiful that there is no server/acolyte/layman to assist in this Holy Mass. THiS is now what the Mass of all time has been relegated to…a humble and holy priest, all by himself, offering the Holy Sacrifice with NO ONE assisting. Beautiful and utterly pitiful at the same time. The Mass is now in the catacombs AGAIN!
Why are the servers wearing shoulder capes the whole time? Is it freezing cold in the church or something?
It's called a pellegrina, it's a clerical vestment that may not be the custom in some places, it is more common for bishops to wear them, though lesser ranking clerics and lay altar servers can wear it as well, usually in the context of a ceremony or in solemn feast days.
The servers are wearing mozzettas, not because it is cold, but rather because it is a symbol of the vows they have professed. Those black shoulder capes (mozzettas) are a symbol of the burden of the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience which they profess as religious.
Oh no wonder i dint heard Gregorian chant during ny first Latin mass
Because it may was a low mass and not a high one.
No girls!!! YAY
Nolite fieri sicut equus et mulus, quibus non est intellectus: in camo et freno maxillas eorum constringe, qui non approximant ad te. Multa flagella peccatoris; sperantem autem in Domino misericordia circumdabit.
Psalmus 31,9-10
From Pope Benedict XVl to the SSPX the Mass is not about the priest, it is not about the people, It is about Jesus Christ, the Mass is a Divine act and not a human act. This video shows the glory and splendor of Christ's Sacrifice. Vatican ll erred when it remade the Mass as being all about the people. Christ's sacrifice is very, very little spoken about when it comes to Holy Mass. Thus a great loss of faith. May God and Our Lady who crushed the head of the serpent, intervene in Francis plot to eliminate Quo Primum of St. Pope Pius V.
I've been studying Latin, not very hard. I am tired of new age communist parishes
How awesome is our trinidine Mass. God is so awesome to have left us this tradition by His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. We love you Jesus and thank You for Your Passion, death and Resurrection.
Reverence .
Amen
Thank you for providing a very solemn and reverent Low Mass. I'm away from home, a 4 hour drive to closest TLM. Thank you for helping me sanctify my Sunday today! 3 Hail Marys for the priest and the server.
This is the correct mass, Novus Ordo and Vatican II is Protestantism and should not be attended by true Catholics
Hermosa,!!! Dios guarde a todos estos Sacerdotes, que defienden la verdad !!!
What responses are required of the congregation?
Most of the responses said during the introductory rite is said by the servers only, e.g. the Confiteor and the Kyrie. Throughout the Mass, the priest will turn momentarily to the congregation and say, "Dominus vobiscum" (the Lord be with you), to which everyone responds with "et cum spiritu tuo" (and with your spirit). After he says "oremus," he will say a prayer at which it will be clear when to say "amen." There's also "Gloria tibi, Domine" (glory to you, Lord), "habemus ad Donimum" and "dignum et justum est" ("we lift them up to the Lord" and "it is right and just"), and "Deo gratias" (thanks be to God). It is actually much simpler than it may seem. If you have the opportunity to attend a Latin Mass you definitely should!
@@henrylansing9734 this is not completely true
Thank you very much for your personal prayers, we feel so saved and happy.
The priest stood and bowed so still at post communion that I assumed my phone was having network issues
The phrase, "Lifting up our minds and hearts to God" washes tears upon my face Thank you Father for being a true Catholic priest. If I have served one Mass, I have served several thousand. I am beyond thanks
Why does the master of ceremonies not receive the Eucharist?
Obrigadíssimo! Importantíssimo trabalho que estão a fazer. Deus seja louvado!
Thank you for sharing this. This is much different than my parish. The simple act of facing the altar to worship God is striking in comparison to the Vatican II way that I learned. This is the Catholic Church that I wanted when I converted. I wanted reverence, not jokes.
I agree.
Surprisingly, Vatican 2 never said to turn the altars around. Read the documents of the council. There’s a lot of misconceptions about it.
@@doctorboss8340 do you often find that before vatican 2 the priest would face the congregation?
@@jblackacre2325 I bet you’ve never read any of the documents of the council. A lot of the stuff you see now were never said to be done by the council. Please read the documents. Thanks.
@@doctorboss8340 do you often find it difficult to answer a direct question?
Read of the miraculous events at Garabandal, Spain. There is a clear prophesy that the proclaiming of the Novo Ordo of Mass by Paul VI is a great miracle which will bring the Church safely through the '..Valley of Death..' which is foretold in the Psalms.
Love it
Innomino, ethpathris, ethpilio, ethsprit Sanctus Amen. ✝️ .Pray for my family and my health including my Nellore diocese, India. I know very well Latin mass songs, learn from 1963. My age is 65 years. 🙏🙏🙏

Que belleza,!!!! Dios nos conceda, siempre , esa Misa,!!!
How dare they destroy our holy Mass to please Protestants! 😡
Can you have a High Mass WITHOUT incense?? In any case, this isn't a High Mass it's a Solemn Mass. You need a deacon and a subdeacon for a HM. (Sorry for being pedantic...)
You need the deacon and subdeacon for it to be a Solemn High Mass. This is High Mass with Incense. Then there’s obviously low mass
You're correct, Colin. It is NOT a High Mass as there are not three sacred ministers. It's a Solemn Mass - when there is, inevitably, incense. So the link description is wrong.
@@barryspurr9577 High mass and Low mass were never the official term to describe mass. The official name is Missa Privata which people nowadays usually call it as Low Mass, and then there is Missa Cantata or the Sung Mass/High Mass with incense as optional, served by only Priest with no other Sacred Ministers (Subdeacon and Deacon), and then the highest form is Missa Solemnis which people usually call it as Solemn High Mass, served by Priest and his Sacred Ministers with incense as a mandatory. The last one will be the most highest form in Latin Rite which is Missa Solemnis Pontificalis, which we usually call it as the Pontifical Solemn High Mass, celebrated by a Pontiff with his Sacred Ministers.
@@barryspurr9577 What makes the High Mass different from Solemn High Mass is not the incense. The solemn form requiring all three Sacred Ministers (Priest, Deacon, and Subdeacon) to be present. Otherwise, it will be only High Mass even if the incense is used.
@@chris22capt I didn't say that. I simply said that a High Mass requires three sacred ministers. Incense can, of course, be used at Mass with just a single celebrant, as at a Missa Cantata.
Keeping Christ and Mass in Christmas since the first Christmas. Look it up.
Why isn't the celebrant mic'd up? How do I know it's a Latin Mass? I'm a 50's altar server. Everything else looks in order.
He’s speaking Latin, the same Latin used in the TLM… follow along in the missal, it’s exactly the same. I’m not sure what you’re asking, since all you have to do is follow along with the Latin in a TLM missal and you’ll see it’s the TLM
Deo gratias
So peaceful!
Beautiful
Although I am not accustomed to worshipping the Lord as it were remotely, this Latin Liturgy is surpassingly beautiful. Surprisingly, I find it not difficult at all to participate - by bodily gestures, by reverences, and by signs of the Cross.
Muchas gracias por el video. Muy reverente. 🙏
This is beautiful. I love how the priest is facing Christ in full worship. Latin mass was before my time but was able to accidentally end up in one while on vacation. My husband and I still talk about it. We both said it's amazing to see such veneration of the Eucharist, it felt like this is how it should be. No entertainment for the audience just worship of Christ.
I was ten when the mass changed. There was never clapping nor talking. I can’t even pray before mass it is so loud with people talking walking around screaming “hey Marty and Dorothy, you going to the game after?”. In my high school chapel if you got caught talking the priest would beat the um, the um, um the devil out of you.
