This channel is dedicated to bits of Australian television history, and as I'm from Adelaide, more specifically Adelaide tv history. You'll see old commercials, news bulletins and updates, stations closing down for the night, (yes kids, tv didn't always go 24/7) and plenty more. PLEASE NOTE: I am completely blind, and am doing my best with what I have and on a low budget. I have recently become aware of some issues that have happened during the digitisation of my tapes. I digitised these more than two years ago, and no longer have access to them, so will continue to post them as they are. Enjoy!

@@RaymieHumbert Unfortunately the issue was with the digitisation and I no longer have access to the tapes.
These ads from 1986 are much better than these morbid insurance ads that are on TV these day's!!

Thanks, sadly yes. Seems it was a problem when I digitised the tapes that I wasn’t aware of until I started posting them. I no longer have access to the tapes so can’t fix.
It doesn’t matter. I think we should just be thankful that this is on CZcams today. It’s wonderful to see a piece of television history being preserved and posted online. I too have never seen such a sign-off from BTV6 (now WIN Television via VTV-37 on UHF DTV) Ballarat before. Perhaps we should all stop complaining about a small portion of the bottom of the screen being cut off. Yes it’s unfortunate that the bottom of the video is gone, but we should also be lucky that we even get to see this at all. Finding such television history like this is just like finding a needle in a haystack. And that’s a fact. Some honest words from Interesting Things. 😎
Of course, it wouldn't be the last time Jane Saville got disqualified...

It’s been a nearly three years since I digitised all these tapes so I’m unsure. My wife thinks I may have had Cartoon Connection. I will have a look.

What was great about this show was it was made in Adelaide so they show bits of Adelaide city in some of the segments.
Gawd...the old biscuit lady in a shoe ad brought back memories - saw it many a time.

Hi, thanks for making me aware of this, I’m a completely blind person doing all this myself. I did the digitisation of these a couple of years ago, had a low budget; can’t remember exactly what adaption software I used now and it’s all packed away as we’re moving but it was basic. Great stuff over on archive by the way.

Three years later after this, in 1985, another power failure occurred during NWS Channel 9 Adelaide's coverage of a 1985 SANFL Escort Cup football match between Glenelg & Sturt at Football Park.
