It's a little cringe to watch tbh. SS clearly knew that ws was a minor role in the MCU with little to non character arc (which i hate to admit cuz bucky has always been my favourite character). It was his single sided obsession/pitch for clout. I do enjoy Buckynat from the comics tho

I also just realized this, everyone else might have already, but if they infact had that storyline of Natasha knowing Bucky was the Winter Soldier and he had trained her in the redroom, wouldn't that have been a huge blow to the friendship she had with Steve? That she knew all along Bucky was alive and never told Steve?
If the movie makers really wanted this ship to happen they can argue that Nat never knew WS was the Bucky that Steve grew up with(if nat never visits the smithsonian), but even with that Buckynat still contradicts the information Nat told Steve about WS in CA2 tho they can still make up some excuses for that. But I don't think BuckyNat was ever considered in the MCU to start with, I mean they were quite determined on HulkNat...Which I really don't understand, like from all those possible ships in the comics they chose the most far-fetched one
whats crazy is that bucky didnt give rocket the gun because it belonged to her, either has sentimental value or cuz it dont belong to him :0. at the locker scene you can see the gun he takes and is the same he used in infinity war
