@@joshuaarseneault1191 If famine works the way I think it will, where you can do the gamma leap part whether there's a target for the first part or not, I think it's the strongest ability here, 2 cost gamma leap is incredibly valuable on so many different characters. The first part just kinda becomes an extra bonus. As far as generating tokens for the leadership though, it's definitely on the lower end, but very consistent which is good.

I was being a bit obtuse. Yes, I was referring to the tokens. the body slide isn't too bad especially since the tokens can pay for the cost. HOWEVER, the famine character won't be fairly contributing to the pool of tokens and will be a drain if used like that.

Yeah I strongly considered toad and he was actually in an early version of this, but it's not quite a steal since you're taking it from yourself so I decided to cut him out.

@@Kineath totally forgot about the ability to give him a stone, 100%, that's a great idea for the list! I'd be curious to see if it causes issues at any other threats since there's no longer a 5, but it's probably fine?

@@MadMax-el2el Would be very nice if it fixed Gambit, unfortunately I have a worry that this is just gonna end up being a list of 50% models that get played, 50% that weren't good before and aren't now, but we'll see, I'd love to be wrong. Definitely some misses on the lore side, but hopefully interesting choices for gameplay.

Honestly my eyes are on November, monsters unleashed and Mephisto. I never thought we would see the monsters and they are almost here. I will just be happy getting to put monsters on the table, good, bad or indifferent. I don't care, j sill be giddy. My black order is about to get tossed in the display case... again. I think gambit is just fine except his "lil' something extra" cost too much. What is your opinion on how he needs fixed?

If you look carefully you will notice that none of the leadership bearing characters are on that list. Probably intentional. I was irritated to see cassandra, toad, & HB instead of pyro, juggernaut, & sabertooth.

I'm coming down on how worried about it I was initially, the health pool is small enough that he's reasonably killable, and his mobility is mostly manageable by a Bill or similar control piece.

LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear theory crafting with characters like Cassandra again, so down for that, I hope Apoc does that for a few of these characters.

There's been a lot of debate on that one from discussion I've seen because of how some similar abilities function, but I'm in agreement that it should work.

I absolutely love 9 dice healthy side builders, it's a shame I only got to make one lol. Definitely made me curious to try Thanos with Mordo some more.

It's a neat idea, but keep in mind that the new mutants teleport is after the attack, so you won't be able to bodyguard the attack that you teleport in on. Itll be interesting if Angel ends up being affiliated, if so I do really like the card combo there, teleport in on the first attack and ultimate sacrifice the second sorta deal. Then plop out an Archangel with a decent amount of power in the middle of the action.

@@joesleboda7200 There's actually been a lot of discussion on whether a leadership is factored into the threat level, for some characters it feels like it definitely is, and they're almost exclusively brought for the leadership (see Blade, Kingpin, Emma Frost), while others, like the case of ASM, have leadership's that not many people actually use, but the model is still really strong without it, and in many cases (including here) they're actually stronger with someone else's leadership. Miles leadership for example is probably better for ASM than his own leadership in many cases. Miles is actually another example of a model that tons of people like to play even without his leadership in different affiliations, since he brings enough to the table on his own. I guess one way of looking at it is that instead of not benefiting from their own leadership on their card, they get to benefit from the leadership on someone else's card. The first Captain America is a really common example of this, where his leadership is insanely good on a ton of other leaders, ASM, Miles, Crimson Dynamo, Black Panther (both), the list goes on.

I'm still a little down on Angel by himself, but I absolutely love Fallen, even if the general opinion ends up being that it's not worth a card slot, I think it's super cool and (In my opinion) the most interesting thing Angel brings to the table. That and his bodyguard card, but I'm a sucker for those.

Emma is definitely a big fan now, not sure if he replaces Bill for them or they just run both, but I'll be surprised if we don't see him there often. Foes is interesting for him, he definitely appreciates the power, really makes you think twice about throwing low dice attacks his way.

"When an allied Angel would flip his stat card" That's only going to happen in the cleanup phase.

@@brentbuckland5043 As another commenter responded, the timing would be during cleanup phase so he should be fine to activate again during the next round.

Steve 1 is a great home for ASM as a splash, I'll probably be trying him out there myself soon just because Bill is no longer a safe grab there. Regarding ASMs leadership, I think it's a little slept on, the control aspect of it can be really strong, but it requires a bit of setup and isn't something that will come up every turn which makes it less universally good compared to Miles. Throw webs into something like Research station where displacement is king and I think it's the better choice in my opinion, but obviously webs avoid that at all costs.

@@travisskane5459 LOL yeah sometimes he's the absolute worst to take down, Miles definitely makes that even more annoying too.

@@kodybrown9228 Yeah with eyes out until I get my hands on Namor I think ASM is my go-to safe grab piece. Extra power is definitely nice for him, Emma or Steve1 probably some of his best homes as a safe grab, but I think he's solid even without it.

@@benstapleton5319 Yeah on the right map Steve 3 giving him super consistent Momentum definitely feels really good, and it's on the builder so you're getting the power back too. Definitely a great consistency piece (and if you make Crits, you get extra power!)

I actually found it pretty valuable to use Cap3's leadership to ensure ASM always rolled a crit, making the leadership itself power neutral in cost at a minimum.

@@Wolfspane Yeah I can definitely see him being quite good there, I haven't played against him much outside of weapon X myself, but that's partially because I don't have any local players that play a lot of brotherhood.

@@travisskane5459 Yeah some models can be really good just as objective runners, Mystique in particular this game was a huge objective piece.

@@travisskane5459 Yeahhhh it's not the most balanced of game types lol, too many big dice pools when both players run Thanos and the dice spikes are all over the place.

@@PureBrawler I've definitely thought about doing a Panther 2 all push damage list, it's a really fun idea and I'd be curious to try throwing something together for it.

Yeah unfortunately it was, but I think the cards can be relatively easily swapped out and it still works mostly the same

Midnight sun's will definitely be more consistent for generation of flares, but I think this leadership is better for bringing him into the action if he doesn't have the power for a charge since his builder is only range 2. Upsides to both I think.
