My Fedora 35 Experience Was NOT Great... In this video I install Fedora Linux 35 and rant about it not being a finished product. Please note that no hate is intended and I respect and appreciate the hard work which is put into its development by volunteer groups and the community. The only purpose of the video is to point out some shortcomings so that they are fixed at some point in the future....

10 Things I Do After Installing Ubuntu
Disgusting video. Not worth watching.
Before saying they are strange because of codecs, maybe research that first. Fedora comes from the US and the patent laws are a big issue there
Only 15 likes? Heck... it should be at least 1000 likes now. Thanks for the ideas!
Both your problems with DNF are easily fixed with edits to the DNF config file- part of the routine after every Fedora install. You goofed. Just install codecs from RPM Fusion- regular Firefox plays videos perfectly. Missing codecs is YOUR mistake, NOT Fedora's. Regular Firefox is NOT broken. You don't need to install the Flatpak of it.
As someone who has never really used Fedora before, the fact that I didn't instinctively hunt down and edit DNF's config file (which is never mentioned in the install guide) or set up an unofficial, third-party repository for packages which every other distro ships themselves is obviously my mistake. I will take down the video.
pros: entertaining video informative convinced me to not use fedora linux cons: ai generated thumbnail 4:36 lack of this accent
Sorry! I don't like AI thumbnails either, and I avoid AI images in general. But I thought it would bring further comedic value to the "AI episode".
He is completely wrong about Fedora, codecs, and Firefox - nothing is broken. I've been using Fedora / Plasma for over a year with no problems whatsoever. Just go through the usual "5 or 10 things to do after installing Fedora" (there are these kinds of lists for every distro). Just add RPM Fusion and the codecs are available. Regular Firefox from the Fedora repo works perfectly and plays CZcams videos perfectly- no need for the Flatpak. Fedora is the most problem free and bug free distro I've ever run.
all hail the robot overlords
The robot AI voice speaks better English than the CZcamsr himself. So please continue using the AI voiceover.
@@catchnkill I think the creator speaks English well enough (I stalked his entire blog lol), it's just his accent which is a bit off-putting
Nice video .
Try Ublue's images, Aurora is most similar to Kinoite.
Thanks! I know of Ublue already, I was interested in trying the official offering which most people go for.
who are the people behind universalblue? Are they really reliable? Why is it better?
You have good knowledge at this age :> by the way what is your age the time of you recording ?
Nice
No module named 'dlib' Can't import the dlib module, check the output of pip3 show dlib i am getting this error when i run howdy add
thanks😃
Great
i use bing
It pains me to say that Bing is genuinely, somehow, better than Google now. Not that Bing has improved, but Google results are worse than ever. Your attempt at causing offence has been successfully deflected.
let's see if you'd use sponsor block after a few years 🤡
Even someone ends up sponsoring my videos, that doesn't mean I have to watch other people's sponsored ads
I am sorry, but CZcams keeps disabling comments on my videos for some reason!

Sorry, I have no idea why that would be. I would suggest reporting your issue to Howdy's bugtracker.
I want to know more about quick and easy ways to manage updates, and more tests o this feature with different programs

I hope you make more content. This is really good. I think you have a great CZcams future, if you want it. Just keep working at it, because you've got the knowledge that lot of us wish we had.
Thank you so much! I will be giving a very important exam at the end of this session, after which I plan to return to CZcams.
Thanks for covering. It is very helpful that you covered this, because I'm a noob and not as competent as you. So, it's good to have a Smart Person like you help others break new ground.

Doesn't work: Setting up systemd (248.3-1ubuntu8.6) ... cp: '/etc/resolv.conf' and '/run/systemd/resolve/stub-resolv.conf' are the same file dpkg: error processing package systemd (--configure): installed systemd package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: systemd E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Which command is not working? Also because it is systemd giving you grief (not related to distrobox which is what I think this video was about) it is probably due to an incomplete upgrade. Try apt install --fix-broken or apt dist-upgrade (make sure to check what packages are installed/ removed before confirming) What distro are you using btw?

The outro was the best part
and the intro 😂😂
I think Debian might offer too many desktop environments & as a consequence XFCE looks very plain after being installed.
I like the choice of several DEs. The XFCE setup looks plain by default as that is the default upstream configuration. Debian does not do any customisation to it apart from the background.
Bro, In my laptop I'm having fingerprint, I'm using linux now. How to add fingerprint reader to linux like windows hello.
What distro are you using
@@eyekay49 Zorin OS 16
Sorry for being unable to reply earlier, I was having my exams so I wasn't checking the account. Fingerprint support is still poor on most distros, you will have to search for your specific laptop / fingerprint reader model's Linux support online. I have no experience in this.
No distro has this feature
I like using the plasma discover store.
Same here, but it is written in Qt and would bring in a lot of KDE dependencies which aren't needed on an XFCE installation. XFCE already uses several GNOME libraries, and GTK, so it wouldn't cause as much bloat to use GNOME Software.
@@eyekay49 but as far i know dependencies are not a problem until and unless they create conflicts between other packages or have umet dependencies error i understand your concern for using gnome-software but man it's unstable as hell actually i don't use any of the software center either discover or gnome Synaptic Package Manager is the best you should consider that too..
@@siddhik6302 Storage space, especially on a slow HDD like the one I have, is a issue. Anyways, in my experience trying to use graphical software installers is a losing battle in Linux. Though I agree Discover is one of the best but it also bugs out every so often.
@@eyekay49 That does make sense cause i did Faced problem with HDDs after that i have switched to An Nvme SSD 970 Evo Plus Man It's fast as hell actually the normal Hdd speed is around 110mbps but man you kidding me 2gb /s speed which Samsung gives have make XFCE RUN LIKE MONSTER .... anyways i agree with you 😃 you do make an awesome video keep it up
