Conserving & Protecting Black-tailed Prairie Dogs
An essential part of southern Arizona's grassland ecosystems, black-tailed prairie dogs were poisoned out of existence in the state by the 1960s. In 2008, Arizona Game and Fish Department biologists began restoring black-tailed prairie dogs to their native grasslands in southern Arizona.
This video highlights a recent translocation of prairie dogs from private land to the Las Cienegas National Conservation Area.

The Role of Geography in Mexican Wolf Recovery
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed dnem
What is the best way to infuse genetic diversity into the wild Mexican wolf population? Some argue that releasing captive-reared adult wolf pairs into the wild is the best way. But is it really? Jim deVos, Mexican wolf coordinator for the Arizona Game and Fish Department, discusses the pitfalls of that method and why fostering of wolf pups into wild dens is more effective in the long run. Foste...

Wildlife Connectivity Update for Arizona
zhlédnutí 473Před 3 měsíci
All animals move across the landscape to varying extents in order to acquire the resources necessary for survival: food, water, protective cover, and mates and can roam over vast expanses that can encompass thousands of acres. Barriers such as roads, urban areas, and railroads can affect each of these movement patterns and may pose a threat to the long-term persistence of wildlife populations M...

With DNA cloning where it is today is it possible to clone Mexican Wolves from specimens in museums to boost genetics?
What's the best time of the year too go?

Best one yet
I just found you and am captivated! Art is ever evolving. A craft is art, an art is a craft, who gets to decide and besides, 'a rose by another name would smell as sweet'...photography is now accepted as ART, or then again, just quirk or a hobby...Your expertise is evident...I am delighted to have found your channel...
Hi Dennis and Deb great video
What about the sperm?
Wow! What a gift! ❤ I'd love to have her for my neighbor!! ❤
Don’t prairie dogs have diseases
Well, I've lived in Pinal County for 15 years and I've never seen a snail. But I'm downloading the app, using some information from this podcast, signed up on the fish and game website as a volunteer, and ready to go find some!
This is my favorite CZcams channel to watch. The content is so very informative and entertaining. I only hope that people will watch and learn from this channel. They will learn how beautiful Arizona is and how precious our wildlife is. Thank you AZ Game and Fish, keep up the great work 👍🏼🌞
You all do good work. Keep it up
Will they make there way towards lake Mary or even maybe down near payson?!
My family and friends have already seen foot sign, heard calls, and captured footage on trail cams wolves above the mogollon rim.
@@shamrock5725are you sure they weren’t coyotes?
Love to see one in the wild.
How do I find out about volunteer activities like this?
God bless you, man!!
Can You Use Railroad ties to build your Burrow? Thanks, Steve.
I live in queen creek and I wanna go catchin snakes frogs lizards etc help me out fish and game!
is there any info re building bat structures on a smaller scale? back yard
I find it criminal the government tells you what you can own and what you have to do to be allowed to own.
🐢🐢❤️❤️
Amazing for our fishing
If crawfish are an evasive species why would you need a fishing license? Rats, Eurasian doves, starlings, pythons, monkeys, hogs, English sparrows, iguanas, capybara, carp with a bow and on and on none of which needs a license to exterminate them!
Well done AZ!
well done AZ Game & Fish

Ya, there are areas of such playfulness with sxs, atvs etc. you need to research it. Drinking, drugs still apply though so don't. Also you need to realize the type of vehicle you are buying say you bought a fully enclosed defender type vs the razor, maverick type, just this will affect your how should I drive it attitude and can be very dangerous if you're not sure to what you would like for instance speed, racing you would not by and enclosed one you'd by the buggy type, if cursing, enjoying taking time then maybe the bigger ones. We all who has one know where we should be driving with are skills ability's you don't take a NorthStar, defender type vehicle and race it down a trail it's not designed for it regardless of power, speed so know what you like, just don't assume every sport type vehicle does the same or preforms the same even when it has the same engine, house power, 4x4 etc. Do not be a MONKEY SEE, A MONKEY DO. Pay attention to your loved ones, and someone else's loved ones, GODs speed.
With hot 🔥 💧 it should be easy to remove
A friend when hiking were hiking and disturbing the grass along the trail with hiking sticks. Since one was bitten it seems like that may not have been a good idea. Any other ideas for hikers
Thank you. Very interesting.
Big Lake is in the Apache National Forest. There is no such forest as "Aphache-Sitgreaves". That name is the result of combining the management organizations of the Apache and the Sitgreaves National Forests but congress never combined the two forests. They are still separate forests.....
“Takes about two minutes” Actually takes five lol
It’s so hilarious to me that the regulations require people to “keep one wing attached”. What the hell happened to this country and who are these people who think they can tell us how to prepare and eat our food?!?!
Why don’t you harvest the clouds to fill water holes
I meet this snake while on Table Mountain to and just disappeared in the bushes 😢
Ill hunt w partitions. The hell w cooper bullets. Terrible at long shots after the vel slows down. Yall are not telling the entire story here
Copper hasnt impressed me in the field. Downright cruel to b honest. I switched back to nosler partitions and i wont be switching back.
I finished building the burrow today and submitted my application.... Fingers crossed i get approved😊. I used the cinderblock method cuz it blends better in the yard.
How wide is the entrance?
You know quell is already delicious it's pretty much all dark meat but when you stop it with the little bit of ham and swiss or your stuff it with sausage and bell pepper or sausage and jalapeno if you're like me and like spice it tastes a whole hell of a lot better
You know after you've got it delayed if you gave it a steam bath and vinegar and hot water it releases those feathers a lot easier than you can believe
I found many of these in the LoPiano park in Tempe.. I have pictures Where can I report this?
My sulcata is about 10 inches long on the bottom side ... are predators still a concern.
Do you need a plug in your shotgun for hunting only eurasian Collared Dove during off-season?
I adopted an Arizona desert tortoise 2 years ago. They are fascinating reptiles.
