DJI Neo - First Flight as FPV Drone in Manual Mode
My first flights with the DJI Neo.
Goggles 3 + FPV Remote 3 in Full Manual
Camera: 4k30 4:3, Sharpness -2, Stabilized with Gyroflow (Default settings)
Graded in DaVinci Resolve:
Contrast: 1.064, Temp: 200 Mid/Detail -33.5 Lift -0.02, Gamma -0.03 Shadows 17.0 Highlights -44.50
My first Impression:
Image: keeping the price in mind, the camera is quite okay. You can get some usable footage for Social Media, but it's not meant for professional use and it shows. ND Filters are a must, as shutter speed is way to high. Paired with the low bitrate you get a quite bad image in contrasty scenarios, as foreground is way to sharp and the background is getting a blur due to the bitrate. Details in the shadows is quite okay in my opinion, but highlights are way overblown.
The Drone: IT IS FUN! It was quite windy, but it flies way better than I expected. Gusts from the side will shake up the drone, but it handled quite well in the conditions. It still is a Tiny-Whoop and not meant for Freestyle, but you can have fun with it :)

Has that been stabilised with gyrodata?
@@dannyhendy yes. When recording in 4:3 the drone does not stabilize itself but records gyrodata. Stabilized with Gyroflow (free software) with default settings.

@@ntm_aka_badluck Wer nicht crasht, ist auch nicht geflogen :D Bin erst gestern mit der Flywoo 85 im Tor eingeschlagen, was ich eigentlich loopen wollte. Hat dann aber im 2. Anlauf geklappt.

Ja, mit dem Motion Controller geht glaube ich mehr, als viele denken, da die FPV puristen das Dingen schnell wieder einmotten (was ich durchaus nachvollziehen kann ^^) Der Neigungswinkel müsste nen paar grad schärfer werden, dann könnteste glaube sogar nen paar coole mountain-surfs machen. Aber steigen und sinken ist halt doch arg limitiert.

@@ntm_aka_badluck ich habe mit FPV angefangen, ich möchte gar nichts anderes fliegen. Baue aktuell den fünften 5“ und habe noch ein paar kleinere Whoops und einen 7“. Denke das reicht dann auch mal. Wobei das Bauen der Copter mir fast genau soviel Spaß macht wie das Fliegen 😅😅😅
@@Right-Turn_FPV ja, so richtig Acro, also freestyle oder gar racing schau ich mir zwar gerne an, aber das überlass ich den profis, aber so ne avata 2 für cineastische, aber dynamischere flüge ist der Plan. Irgendwann.... :D

Thank you, those were my first drone flights, all done mit a mavic 2 pro (borrowed from my dad). Mostly automatic settings, and just put together with music. Lofoten was a great trip. Can recommend :D As soon as I had to give the drone back, I ordered myself a Mini 4 Pro :D
