Champagne Comedy Podcast: Interview with Boris Conley
Jane Kennedy was my first Aussie comedy stiffy.
A river somewhere was absolutely fabulous, so much fun, thank you guys, Peter, Turangi NZ
Ha
Where can I find the link to watch a full episode for this?
Love this podcast and still have fond memories of the time when it was originally released. I fortunately saved it from iTunes but I thank you for sharing it with the world. I think my favourite character is Tony Martin's John Michael Howson going on a crazy rant. I listened to the original and the accuracy to detail is outstanding. Love your work. Cheers. 😁
...Or before he replaces Richard Wilkins as the host of Keynotes.
Ha ha
I loved these guys, still do. Great songwriting, musicianship and performance. Really iconic. I remember having a beer with Scott from the Living End in Tamworth about our mutual appreciation of the Sharp. Would love to see the band fire up again!
They've reunited and are touring (as of 2024) . Go to TheSharp(dot)au.
Not the first time the Shark has brought up Glengarry Glenn Ridge. I've only heard of it because I remembered this. czcams.com/video/gCQOx5RBrxI/video.html
Just so you know, there are two Thebes: One in Egypt and the other in Greece. Rome did control the province of Achaea by 25 BC.... but ... why Thebes for a backdrop?!?!?! (PS: Tiresias is a Greek name. He was a blind prophet)
From the thumbnail I thought they'd interviewed Bruce McAvaney.
Watched it so many times I know the script as it goes. After first time watching and visiting Melbourne, went to the club for an ale. Will never tire of it and dream that Molloy will make a sequel one day, in today's world it'd go down a treat. Thanks for uploading!
As much as I like their TV shows, I wish Working Dog would make a few more films.
That was fun.
Jane is a gem, pretty intelligent charming witty nice, always liked her think more than like a crush really,
So stoked on this!
50 bucks? 👏
No wonder Jason Stephens long since retired from comedy, what a snoozefest.
Jason has far from retired. He's going strong producing many comedy and drama shows from behind the camera.
i was in my early 20's when the Sharp hit the scene, and as a kid of the 80's who loved the synth pop of that time, the Sharp were like future of pop music. Loved the energy, songwriting and whole vibe the band had. Awesome stuff that still sounds amazing today.
He's Done it Again, Friday Night Funny Man Elliot Rhodes
That was excellent🤍
What a delightful person Jane is
I remember seeing these ads. One that stands out aired on Channel Seven during Home and Away. In it the D-Generation told viewers that Summer Bay didn't really exist. At the end of the ad the D-Generation are seen looking at a map. One of the team pointed at it and said, "Look, there's Wandin Valley (the fictitious town where A Country Practice was set).
Best drive show of all time takes me back to happy times, love a reunion show!
Brilliant!

Rex Hunt: Today we watched a clip of my appearance on The Late Show. This is dizzy stuff folks!
We seek the Splade of Damocles (it's in the third drawer down)
Hi. This is very random but wondering if you could help me. My sister and our family dog were on in Melbourne tonight around 95 or 96. They were on the talent section of the show and she did a trick with cups. She remembers Hugh Jackman as a guest and Julia Morris as a host. Just wondering if you knew how to access the footage? We’d love to see it. Thanks, Telissa
Optus yanks.
"i've got no dial tone"-optus customer today. lol.
The original office
Great band too The Sharp
Two of the BEST!
Sam’s “running into an Ex” dig at Tom, referring to 92yo Hazel, had me tearing up. 😂😂😂
1994 is the wrong year. That Hugh Grant incident occurred in 1995. Also, “Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush” premiered in ‘95.
You're correct - no idea why we thought 1994. Fixed.
Skivvies are back
Thanks for uploading. I was 20 when it came out. Taped and re-watched every episode many times.
fantastic upload I am looking for a Panel Episode from 1998 not sure if you have it or not ? Episode March 4th 1998
sam pang is too funny for most audiences
5 Points for Tony knowing the correct name of ground plumbing
oh so funny show i love australia happy watching
What a find. I think I remember seeing this story on TVTV. RIP Edith Bliss.
The cameraman filming the performance clearly didn't watch the original!
That bit where Rob and Mick are at the indoor swimming pool was actually for another Shitscared but they couldn't think of an ending, so they inserted it into this one.
Big Props! 🎉 Not enough big props on TV these days. ❤
Tidleborn (sic) was the guy from Triple RRR.
Still don’t get how he does the levitation trick 😂😂
Invisible wires for sure.
Champagne comedy!
I miss those days😞 The D Generation & The Late Show were great! Still, we had The Panel and a lot of Rob Sitch's stuff like Frontline, The Hollowmen & Utopia that followed and they were/are great too!
That wasn't Rob Sitch on is own though. It was Working Dog, aka Sitch, Glisner, Cilaruro, Kennedy and Hirsch. Essentialy nucleus of TLS and D Gen.
Australian tv is well dead. It used to be awesome
