As I lay awake one night, thinking and dreaming about craft projects (I mean literally, every stinking hour I woke up with some idea popping in my head), I decided Sleepless Crafter was the perfect name for my rebrand.
My goal is to make youtube videos showing sewing and craft tutorials. All of this is going to take a LOT of work, and depending on how good my body is to me, I hope to accomplish what I set out to do. I have fibromyalgia, so I am at the whim of my body. There are days I feel good and can get a lot done and actually feel "normal" and then there are days where I wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck, can't hardly move, feel like I have the flu, feel like I haven't slept for days, and cannot physically or mentally do a darn thing! Sadly, I have more days like that than good days. But I am focusing on staying positive. Wish me luck! Say some prayers for me! Send me positive vibes!

Muscovy Ducklings Hatching
From 3 PM yesterday to 3 PM today, five Muskovy ducklings hatched. I recorded the last two and put it on super speed. Each egg took hours upon hours to hatch. It is recommended not to help them in case they’re not ready. We had them in an incubator, and then I moved them to a Brooder. They are happy and healthy now.

Really helped when singer made 15j bobbins a slight blue or purple tint. Last pkg I purchased were transparent no blue tint. The identifying numbers are for 15j however. Why do these companies do this to us. And yes the Singer 4411, 4423, 4432, and 4452 can come with some using class 15 bobbins and some use the 15j. Can't believe manual doesn't say which size to use.

How come you didn’t mention the MOST obvious difference which is a rectangle hole in the 15 and a round hole on the 15J. I bought the 4432 HD in December 2023 and NOWHERE in the box or on their website does it describe the difference (that I can find) and the specs say my machine take “15” (rectangle holes) but the 4 bobbins that came in my box are smooth and have the round holes
Because some of them have the same holes. I have both 15 and 15J with round holes and rectangle holes. It just depends on what brand and when they were purchased.
I watched your video and here is my question…. I just bought a Singer HD 4452 and the bobbins that came with it are smooth. I was told by Singer and Michael’s that the machine takes Class 15. The class 15’s have a ridge around them. So do some Class 15’s have a ridge and some or smooth? I am new at sewing and in fact haven’t even started so I need to know. Thanks.
Thanks for explaining this. It seems 15Js are only available pre-threaded in 12 colors + b&w. Another viewer said she used 15s for J15s w/ no problems? Yikes.
I'm sorry but you seem to have them the wrong way around at the end of your video. I have a Singer Confidence that takes the 15J bobbins and it had four blue tinted bobbins in the box with it (brand new from the UK Singer store) that came with it. I've just measured them and they measure exactly 20mm just like it says on the website information. I have J in my other machine and they measure 21mm.
I’m sure many bobbins are different, depending on where they are from and who manufactures them. I labeled the bobbins when I took them out of the package so that I wouldn’t get them mixed up, then took a picture when I measured them. There’s a fb page that has many debates on which bobbins come in these machines, as many people with the same machine as me claim that theirs came with 15J, while others say theirs came with 15. I think the main difference is the curve on the 15J while the 15 is flat.
I find it so odd that Singer specs show 15J smaller than 15, yet you purchased Singer brand bobbins, measured them, finding the 15J to be BIGGER than 15
Yeah that's not correct. I have a Singer Confidence that came with four blue tinted 15J bobbins and they measure 20mm just like the Singer website says they should. And they are slightly curved like they also should be.

... Thank you...!!! Bought a Singer 4432 and even the Manual doesn't say what size...!!! (sigh) ... The internet says 15, but the bobbins that came with the machine are smooth on the top and bottom, looking like 15J. ... Going to order the gauge you used before ordering bobbins... ... And measure every section of it to make sure...!!!
Did you check in the end and confirm? I am having the same problem . Online says 15 but i'm unsure.
... bought the gauge but still haven't bought extra bobbins... only using the 3 that came with the machine. Guess it's time to put on my big girl panties and just order both and measure with the gauge. The bobbins that came with the machine work perfectly and absolutely no problems with the machine.@@AlidaCreative
I lost which ones came with the machine! (Or mixed them up) so let me know what you find out if you order some (I'm cheering you on from afar)! My others I use in a different machine and am now scared to mess it up! @@s.a.morris8625
EXACTLY!!! I just made this same comment. Two major differences are that the ones that came with my 4432 machine had a little round holes and the dozen pre threaded 15 bobbins that I bought on Amazon have rectangle holes

Thank you so much. Just got a new machine and I bought 6 packs of the 15 thing they were the same as 15j. I am in the Bahamas so it’s hard to get repairs or even the bobbins. Thanks for saving me: will stick with the 4 that came with my machine until I can order internationally.

Class 15 comes with a flat top and bottom while 15J has a slightly curved top and bottom. On the other hand, the bottom and top are curved for class 66 bobbins. 15J is only available in plastic with a blue tint body while 15 and 66 come in metal and plastic bodies with no tint.

I can't seem to find 15J for my singer HD. I've been getting along with the 15, so far no troubles yet. Thank you for explaining it to me. Like Harbor Freight for craft supplies, too.
