I was 7 in 1971, my parents were hippies and dad was a YUUUGE zeppelin fan, it was the first time I'd seen them live. Again in 73, 75 and 77, always at the LA Forum. Great memories

I was lucky enough along with many fellow Chicago musicians to see Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Eddie Gomez and Steve at the Park West. Probably the best concert ever and Steve stole the show. It was the Three Quartets and Friends band. Incredible concert.

It wasn't really written for Hendrix. The band had been to see him live and Jack Bruce subsequently came up with the riff on his bass. Once recorded, Cream dedicated the song to Jimi and in response, he would sometimes play an instrumental version. Regardless, Cream were unique, shone brightly and briefly and Sunshine of Your Love is an absolute, timeless classic.

As a Rush fan since the 70s. There's a singular time in Rush's history that is quite clear and saddening. It's Rush's decision to drop Terry Brown as their producer. This marks the end of an era as a rock band into their commitment to the maddening progressive era. After Signals to Grace under pressure. From this point on Rush music stopped being played on the radio. At least where I lived. I recall hearing New world man and Subdivisions on the radio. From GUP on zero radio air play, ever! Alex's Play began to get shuffled below the heavy keyboard play of Geddy Lee. It was very saddening to hear Lifeson's playing/solos get compressed. Plus his entire sound changed. It was quite maddening to see a band hell bent on redifying itself to be a prog band. 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

Its really no competition: Bruner His prestige is next level. Like Buddy Rich once in a lifetime type feel. Thats why Prince and Stanley Clark set their hooks in him. If Prince wrote you checks, you're an annointed musician. Like mono neon I'd venture to say that Lewis would be easier to work with and capable of scaling the same gigs, but they're not of the same caliber on the kit..
