this is crucial i am tired of creating new precomp and the damn thing is so far in empty space. Like I get I can effect the original layer but the precomp needs an option where I CAN FOCUS on it. Unfornately it changes the position of the original layer and it looses quality.

Is there a way to stop the masks from cancelling themselves out when they overlap? I'm using this technique on a script font and its pretty time consuming to go in and adjust the paths for each letter.

this messes up the pre-comp's position in host comp :(
