This highlights a critical flaw in the international legal system, where the lack of commitment to enforcement undermines the very principles and protections that are meant to uphold justice and accountability.

The primary issue lies in the lack of commitment from world leaders towards pursuing justice and accountability in Gaza. Despite the complexities involved and the necessity of thoroughly examining specific incidents to assess adherence to International Humanitarian Law (IHL), notable world leaders have failed to prioritize these efforts. Israel's disregard for IHL compounds the challenges, but without strong commitment from global leaders, achieving justice and accountability remains elusive.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza highlights the critical importance of the Principle of Distinction in international humanitarian law. Amid densely populated urban terrain, parties must navigate the delicate balance between military necessity and minimizing civilian casualties
