People are too used to fast fashion and overconsumption and unless they're people who also diy things they have literally no empathy for how much time it takes to make you this stuff and how much you you spent on materials, like they don't even wanna pay the hourly minimum wage for anything handmade

I crochet, and tattings. I know me, I love this craft. I would and have just given away. Except for my blankets. I do want whoever to but the colors of yarn they want, and maybe throw me a tip after it’s done. Line I said I enjoy it. But I do agree yarn just like everything else has gotten so expensive!

The B could have gone dodgy on the 2nd and 3rd because you were using a "dirty" screen. I specialised in Printed Textiles at Uni so spent a lot of time screen printing and a hack we would do was to use baby wipes to wipe down the side that lays against what you are printing as some of the ink can bleed under at the edges of the image which then spreads out when you use it again...hope that makes sense 😅 I love that you can create screens that way though, way quicker then coating and exposing screens!

Minnesota is one of the biggest crafting states so I'm not totally surprised you had such a successful weekend :) too bad I'm just finding your channel now lol I was literally at that market this year.

Loui Vuitton and channel sell zipper pouches that are most likely not hand crafted for any where between 200-and 1000 dollars. If they can charge that much for a product then the pouches you make by hand and spending money and time to do so. Is not expensive.

Have you removed that metal plate above the bobbin? I had something similar with my Ricoma not long after I got it and it was thread build up and lint that was at the cutting area that causes the bobbin thread tension to get out of whack.

It doesn't matter what anybody thinks you sell them at the price that you feel like is right because you're the one putting the time the effort your money and everything else into making what it is that you make regardless if its crocheting or any other type of situation you deserve to be paid for what you do and to be paid fairly

I have a 6 needle brother. Although I love it I have had some issues. You are the 2nd youtuber I watch that has had issues with a multi needle machine from Ricoma. I wonder what is happening.

I can’t imagine starting with a 10 needle. I learned so much on my very first single needle that is so applicable on my bigger machine now. We all deal with tempermental machines, I think that is the one guarantee with embroidery

If you don’t mind a small tip, try using a small drill to hold and spin the skewer as you put on the green yarn, it’s saved my own hands and wrists so much and I get them done so much faster ❤

How do you change your locations for markers? That would be a great video to see. I didn't know you could even do. You did great on the news segment, you are brave.

I have the EM 1010 and it’s definitely a learning curve, but I do love it

I have a halo 100 not a pretty looking machine but i love. haven't had an issue so far, its only been a month but embroidering every day for my small business just have to oil a few drops every morning (multiple times a day if doing heavier stitched designs). I avoided Ricoma due to a lot of complaints in Australian embroidery fb groups and my local embroidery/sewing repair warning against them saying its their most common machine in. I had a second hand single needle brother 770 which was great for years but parts aren't being produced for it anymore it seemed like time to upgrade i would definitely recommend the cheaper single needle machines for people wanting to try embroidery out without the massive plunge of a 10k plus machine. (though i have to say i dont miss changing the thread at every step)

Make sure your thread is threaded properly, sometimes your thread pop out of the guides.. Also, make sure your bobbin is clean.. Sometimes there are tiny pieces of lint in there and also check that little flap on the side of your bobbin, thread lint builds up in there :)

Does people pay 35$ for them or does people complain that they’re to expensive? I don’t think they’re to expensive.

I'm a reseller, I also make a lot of handmade stuff for myself and ppl i know. Selling online has taught me one thing: Things are worth whatever people will pay for them. If you can get $35 and make steady sales, then they're worth it. If you can't, then I'd say they're not. The problem with handmade things is only a certain type of person actually cares enough to pay more for them.

People who think people won’t buy ur hand made items is wrong yes they will u gotta believe in ur self and make the things they would like I say 35 is good price for what ur doing people spend all this money on fendi etc there are people out here that really like custom one of a kind things keep going
