Love red rocks Colorado
When I first met owsly Stanley first time I got really high with my friend Cara
Sending love to you all from Patti Cornell already for me to come home and take care of the people around me. Good loving family and friends are always welcome here for me and others good old grateful dead
I remember meeting owsly Stanley. I go all the way back from UVM feldhouse
These guys were among the most groundbreaking bands of the seventies and were all phenomenal musicians. Jerry Douglas was soon to be light years ahead of all of the other players for many years to come when it came to dobro. I love Chris Hillman but he did not write God's Own Singer or I'll Stay Around. I believe Bernie Leadon wrote the former and Lester Flatt wrote the latter.
That a way to keep Hank Williams music alive. I love it. Go J. D. Crowe. Can you do Long-gone Lonesome Blues?
Good luck with your project and the music
Just the absolute best
The more those two Bills play together the more one of them sounds like Jerry. Something about Kruetzmann s style brings out the best in people. Hes the Muse.
Goo old Grateful Dead
I do love spending time at red rocks First time I saw owls Stanley way back when
Good old Grateful Dead from Patti Cornell
I remember seeing Keith with JD at Buddy's Barbeque in Knoxville when I was about 9. All Dad said was "Son, you're going to hear the best singer you'll ever hear tonight....." All these years later and he was and still is the best I've ever heard. And a really funny guy that everyone on the bluegrass circuit loved. Thanks Keith! Hoss
JD taking no prisoners in this show. Wow - solos back up whatever. Just fantastic
At 1:15:14 Fireball Mail, the song is Fireball. No mail. :)
Wonder when/where in nyc this was from. I saw the Tony and Larry Rice lineup in nyc in 1972
yes
😂GooD🎉FandS.copy🎉Fun
The image of Tony Rice's guitar without a headstock reminds me of the cover of the "Manzanita" album.
I wish anyone would play mando like Ricky played back then. He was absolutely 1/1 in that era.
Whoa! Sounds like J.D. came to play.
Doyle Lawson sings tenor and JD Crowe sings baritone harmony vocals
This rules. Thank you for posting
Unreal concert. I was 11. So I guess my parents wouldn't have allowed me to fly to SFO to see it!
This recording is the best I’ve heard of the New South. The energy in this is just another level! 💥 Thank you so much for posting this!
Mám ráda krásný hlas Keitha Whitley ❤️
Rest in peace James Casey
Got damn so sad
Perhaps the earliest of the live Album Band stuff??
Yeah mang
Great stuff!!! Wish I could have met Keith
Amazing that’s what think
Really excellent sound quality!
Krásná melodie, krásný zpěv krásný hlas Keitha Whitley ❤️
Alan Munde was not a regular member of Country Store, but filled in for Jimmy Arnold. The banjo players that were in the band were Carl Jackson, Pat Cloud, Jimmy Arnold, and Dick Smith. There may have been others that I'm not aware of.
Great playing - one of the best sounding gigs I've heard of this group of players.
Skaggs! Best tenor singer that’s ever lived!
What an awesome mix for so long ago! Great stuff man!
Everyone killing it! But Casey on sax and Aron Magner on organ setting the bar! Little Milton would be proud.
You aren’t kidding about the quality of this one! Top notch!
That bass player is absolutely HOLDING IT DOWN. Good golly. And Strings....I mean....wow.
Best compilation of great musicians ever. The BGAB happened when I was trying to learn to play and sing. Got to see them once.
I absolutely love Keith singing dark hollow
It's scary good,
Thank you for this absolute bluegrass gold yet again
A great example of Crowes versatility ! I think Larry R. is underrated as a singer and mandolinist . He excelled at songwriting as well ! RIP , Tony, Larry, JD and Bobby (Merle too). See you boys in heaven some fine day .
It wasn't Doug playing the second banjo it was Billy Ray Latham
I am...Japanese BanjoPlayer ありがとう。🦖
I love this I do miss Tony Rice though.
Bounciest Crowe ever!!!
Awesome dude!!! Lived in Lexington my whole life just about! A little to young to have caught the Red Slipper shows. They’re legendary!!!
James Casey...feeling fine.
