    If experience continues after the body stops functioning then death is not real. If experience does not continue then you will not be there to experience it. Either way you cannot experience death.

    When we awaken, we know that we are not some sort of ghost creatures living in a body, we are a not a self but a present moment expression, and "death" isn't a real concept anymore.

    I lost my daughter tragically, she died. Since her deathI have many instances of evidence of her consciousness having continued on after the termination of her physical incarnation. Solid evidence that I feel I have subjected to a suitable standard of scepticism - I have a medical degree with an attitude of rigour and respect for the scientific method you might expect to accompany that. However, as privileged in a sense - an ego centric one - as I feel to have experienced confirmation of enduring consciousness, it changes nothing in terms of practice - for me, at least. I am certain you would experience delusion in the spirit world. A physical death seems not to terminate attachment, or the grasping ego, I have a feeling. I wouldn't want think of an ongoing consciousness as a reason to avoid the mat. You have a body, sensation, emotion, desire and the dimension of time to prod you forward to liberation. It may never be this good again!

      @@benji-5796 Hi Benji, we have experienced many unexpected things in the year since her passing, including strange animal behaviour (very!), lights and other electronics turning themselves on, noises, smells and fragrances weird things around her possessions such as books launching themselves onto the floor. However the most impressive and easy to document is a light that we have set up next to her ashes. To date, it has turned itself on 56 times, and continues to do so, all at significant times. For example when we brought her ashes home, it switched on. I've had it turn on in answer to specific questions, when significant people in her life arrived at the house to visit, at times when we having extreme grief. It's particularly interesting that it turns on in a way that can't be done with regular current in that it glows from the bottom, rather than being evenly illuminated as it would when switched on normally. It also varies how bright which I guess might be related to the energy she can manifest? There's more but that's the highlights. I've also recently been to a medium, who gave very convincingly good evidence - no chance of cold reading or researching me - so I have zero doubt at this stage. Hope that helps Benji. What have been your experiences?

      I have seen a dark shadow in my peripheral vision, I didn’t say anything as I thought I was hallucinating only for my Dad a few days afterwards say the same thing. The kitchen was dark so I have no idea what it was.

      @@benji-5796 It's a commonly reported experience, shadows, lights, colour or movements in the periphery of our vision following a loss. If it's something you want to pursue I would suggest keeping your mind open to possibility and pay close attention to your environment - sounds, smells, colour, unusual events. Some things will just be noise resulting from heightened focus but I wouldn't be surprised if you have some experiences you couldn't explain through normal means.

    An Advaita teacher once said ,we die every night in deep sleep completely unaware but have no fear about going to bed,in fact we look forward to it. That made an awful lot of sense,there is nothing to fear in death in fact it's a great release from the sickness of the body, mind and the mad world. Whether there's any higher awareness after death will depend on the consciousness level of the "individual" i.e. no individual,no person idea.

    • @squamish4244
      @squamish4244 Před rokem

      Wise words indeed. It's all about the conceptual baggage we bring to the occasion. The greatest masters treat death as fundamentally no different from any other moment in life. When the great Indian saint Neem Karoli Baba died (as recorded in the remarkable biography of him on YT, Windfall of Grace), he casually asked another yogi where would be a good place to die and was giggling when he talked about it. In the 50 years since his death he has appeared to countless people in the form he wore during his life. Many such stories are contained in the book Whisper in the Heart.

    Relationships with others bring the possibility of showing you where you're not. It is often difficult to discern, however, in a dysfunctional relationship, for example, what is a genuine aspect of self being pointed out that remains unconscious or undeveloped, and a projection on the part of the other person. Both situations feel like shit. The former feels difficult but truthful, the latter feels bottomless and ambiguous. What to do about this? Perhaps the difference in feeling answers the question, but there are dangers in relying solely upon feelings of truth. In my own experience, feedback from other sources can help bring more clarity and stability, but again requires further discernment. This reminds me of your discussion of the system of checks and balances. Thank you.

    Great question by Doshin Integral Zen, which will fuse a Shadow for Ken Wilber which I have the luck to become a receptor of it, and after the explanation I was able to trade it, for an Old and ancient shadow I remember posses once I was perhaps 5 or 7 years Old, so I'm very quick begun to get ready of that Old shadow, and thanks to your Q. and A. express in this Video I'm now free of such a Shadow as well of the shadows of others for their own good and my own peace of mind. Thanks to Mr. Doshin and Mr. Wilber. God bless you Both.
