    Thanks for sharing. We stayed at that campsite twice last summer - on our way north on the Dempster to Tuk, and on our return. Great place to refresh. We have a 2016 A-Liner Classic mounted on an Expedition frame, so a bit bigger than the Ranger you showed and we have a storage box in front with lots of room. Our A-Liner did great on all those dirt roads, but our friends had a smaller model without the beefier frame and had more difficulties. Highly recommend the larger wheels and "Off Road" if you are going to spend any time on rough roads.

      Interesting campsite but not the most private. Wall to wall without any trees. Big parking lot really. Dawson City is such a great town though. We didn’t spend much time at our campsite as there was so much to do in town. I wouldn’t recommend any trailers on the Dempster. Saw many truck campers and class B types though. Thanks for sharing!

    These clips transported me back to many past fishing trips to Cache Creek, Englishman River, Deadman’s Creek, Nechako River, Columbia River, Lilloet River, Texas Creek, Tweed River, etc. It is a wonderful series of memories to recall standing in pristine streams with rushing, rippling water about … the sounds and views are unforgettable…whether or not I even got a fish on my line.

      Fished many of these as well. Fishing is a state of mind for me. I get lost in the joy of standing in a river and knowing the best places where the fish will be. Even the slightest nibble lets me know they are there, adding to the enjoyment of the day. It’s never about the catching but rather the pursuit and just being there that makes it so worthwhile. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers!

Glad to get rid of it, just way too many issues. In fact it has sworn me off of rvs for the forerseeable future. Will go truckbed camping when I want to rough it. Cheers.

    i say a most of the issues are more quality of manufacturing issue than design similar issue you'll may see any other rvs possibly more on the lower end rvs. Though other issues are the issue you see in all collapsible trailers which i expect and experienced myself.

    • @capturereeladventure
      @capturereeladventure Před 24 dny

      Many RVs are slapped together in record time on the assembly line. Especially the lower priced units as you mentioned. That doesn’t forgive the manufacturers from producing something that falls apart easily after only a few short years. Better engineering and parts should be standard on items that must not fail, ever. Leaks should be a thing of the past!

    I just watched your video a little too late as I take delivery of a 2024 A213HW next week. I had to chuckle as I wanted an a-frame so I wouldn't have to repair another lift system failure. Thanks for the comment! My recommendation with your trailer is to baby it or else you’ll have issues in short order like most who own one of these. Don’t take it on dirt roads if you can help it. They are cozy and practical for short trips. I did a 10 week, 9000 mile trip with mine last summer, way too long for such a small unit. Check out the video series on my channel! Episode three coming out soon. Best of luck with your new unit!

    Do these have a warranty? Have you raised your concerns with the manufacturer? Did they respond? I really like the design, but if they haven't fixed the "flimsy" at the very least , that's a deal-breaker.

    Why do they have all that wiring messed up and hanging off the underside? Couldn’t they put in a raceway along the inside near the base? If I were to buy one, I’d want it stripped of almost everything. Just need outside elec connection for campsite elec and solar connection ( I would have a Jackery etc instead of built-in power. I can arrange storage and sleeping areas to my own liking. I would do the same with a teardrop or squaredrop. For me less things to break is better. I’m all for modular, move things around or replace if needed.

    • @capturereeladventure
      @capturereeladventure Před měsícem

      Great ideas and yes they absolutely should have isolated the wiring underneath. Poor engineering combined with cheap materials and shoddy construction makes for an rv that is guaranteed to have issues. Why do they have such low standards and get away with it?

    The air conditioner on the Aliner is factory installed, it's an extra-cost option on the 12' and 15' models. As for the windows leaking, that's just an RV "thing". The only RV's I've ever heard of that don't eventually leak rainwater are Class B's that are all-steel Van conversions, and units like the Scamp that are 1-piece fiberglass shells with no seams. And even those can eventually develop leaks around vents and any other penetrations of the body shell. What's most important is to try and get an RV with an all-aluminum frame, so that even if a little rainwater is managing to leak in through the windows and vents, at least the frame won't rot out.

    I have owned both a Rockwood and Aliner . The back floors on the Rockwood rotted out because the tires shoot water on them . And it was only made of cheep particle board . But overall I liked the trailer until this happened . The Aline has springs at the hinge to help it open . The Aliner that we purchased last year does seem to be a better built camper . But they are also more money to Purchase , so depending on how often you will be using it should sway your decision .
