I liked your brevity. Please call out electrical outlets and formats (US, European, UK, etc). especially near the bed for CPAP users. Overall, very good review without a lot of fluff!

Hi Linda, in our experience deck 8 aft is not noticeably noisy. Although you may noticed some engine vibration at times.

Thank you for that quick review, one of the things that caught my eye, which is alarming, is how crowded the tables were in the main dining room. There’s no room to scoot your chair back and you’re in the lap of the guest next to you. That’s a bit discouraging. Mice quick synopsis. The issue I’ve read and seen on other reviews is the bathrooms. It’s a micro bathroom on the balcony rooms.

Any idea why gratuities are included for Aus and NZ guests only?
Most likely cultural reasons; tipping is less of a cultural norm. Also, competing cruise lines DO include gratuities, so Oceania may risk losing business.
Your travel agent may gift you enough shipboard credit to cover gratuities. That is often our experience. You should definitely book through a travel agent.
When you factor in all the add ons you get nickel and dimed for on Royal Caribbean the Regent Cruise is a better choice.

which ships are better SEABOURN or SILVERSEA? i think silversea is more expensive though
Dear Pete We have sailed on many of the ships in the Silversea and Seabourn fleets. All the ships are very good. I don’t think it’s easy to say either line has better ships, they are just different.

Who cares about set dining times? Which aren’t that strict either
Stayed in one of these verandah rooms for 18 days - they are too small and claustrophobic. Also room service left a lot to be desired. Coffee and tea was never hot when they arrived. Staff on ship very nice and did the very best they could. Seemed very over-worked. The bed was very comfortable and our housekeeper wonderful.

Are the under bed drawers large enough to accommodate full size suitcases? We normally store ours under the bed.
Hi Rick, The drawers are not large enough for luggage, but there is additional space under the beds to store your luggage.
