In conversation with Molefi Kete Asante
MK Asante is a writer, filmmaker, and hip-hop artist, and recipient of the Langston Hughes Award. His books include It’s Bigger Than Hip Hop, the poetry collection Like Water Running Off My Back, and the bestselling memoir Buck, the “brilliant and always engaging” (Los Angeles Times) story of his harsh but transcendent path from the streets of North Philadelphia to artistic liberation. His documentary film The Black Candle, co-written with Maya Angelou, illuminates the relevance of the principles of Kwanzaa. Asante is the host and co-executive producer of While Black, a Snap Original docuseries co-produced by NBCUniversal. His essays on art, technology, and culture have appeared in The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and USA Today. His latest book began as a series of raw and inspirational letters written in a Temple University Hospital emergency room as his nephew Nasir fought for life after being shot nine times. In those moments, Asante realized he had to tell his brother’s son the truth about his father, Uzi, who Nasir had never met.
Molefi Kete Asante is a professor in the department of Africology at Temple University, where he created the first PhD Program in African American Studies in 1988. Also the president of the Molefi Kete Asante Institute for Afrocentric Studies, he is Professor Extraordinarius at the University of South Africa, was the first director of UCLA’s Center for Afro-American Studies, and is the founder of The Molefi Kete Asante Institute for Afrocentric Studies, a thinktank in Philadelphia. With more than 100 books and 500 articles published, Asante has been recognized as one of the 10 most widely cited African scholars, and he was the founding editor of the Journal of Black Studies, where he served for 53 years. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors for his scholarship and activism, has appeared on television programs across five continents, and has consulted for several heads of state in Africa.

Analysis that proves anthropogenic emissions cannot possibly cause global warming! It is a stupidity to propagandize this fallacy! There are two largest contributors of what they call Green House Effect 1.-Water Vapor (clouds) 2.-Dust These two main Green House elements cannot (by now) be quantified with any degree of certainty due to their variability and massive dimensions. All models “prefer” no to include them or just assign a marginal incidence in order to validate their models on which they to begin with insert the resulting warming increment, this practice is aberrantly stupid in fact, a fraud. In top of these “perverse deliberated omissions” other very serios factors larger than anthropogenic emissions like: soils respiration (plants and biota like microbes, insects and animals) as well as earth mantel degassing and continental displacements, and oceans biota, all this many times larger when compared with human activity and emissions are either erased or manipulated to serve their propaganda a business worth trillion dollars plus. Ratios of the C-12 isotope compared to C-13 Plant/animal matter is comprised of carbohydrate molecules with roughly 1 carbon for every 2 hydrogen atoms (Carbon : Hydrogen ratio around 1:2) Fossil Fuel Sources: Contain higher ratios of the C-13 isotope from being underground for millions of years Fossil fuels like coal, oil, natural gas have higher Carbon : Hydrogen ratios, ranging from around 1:1 to 1:1.5 So, while the total carbon emissions were: 400.35 Gt C/year We can break this down further in order to determine causation, and forcing from CO2 emitters: Natural Sources (soil, ocean, volcanic): 367.35 Gt C/year (91.02%) Predominantly C-12 isotope C:H ratio around 1:2 Vs Fossil Fuel Sources (Coal, Gas and Petroleum): 33 Gt C/year (8.98%) Higher C-13 isotope C:H ratio 1:1 to 1:1.5 This isotopic and molecular differentiation allows tracking the relative contribution of natural vs fossil fuel derived carbon sources. The very high level of natural carbon emissions from sources like soil respiration, volcanic/degassing activity, and ocean processes - totaling over 367 Gt C per year (clouds and dust not accounted for). The relatively small contribution of fossil fuel emissions at around 33 Gt C per year, is dwarfed by natural sources. The differentiation of carbon isotopes and molecular compositions, showing the natural sources are overwhelmingly comprised of C-12 and Carbon : Hydrogen ratios typical of natural processes and organic matter. Essentially, it is physically and thermodynamically impossible for the relatively minute anthropogenic fossil fuel emissions to be the driving force behind global temperature changes and climate fluctuations. The sheer magnitude of natural sun activity, carbon cycles, water vapor and dust processes and emissions utterly dwarf to near 0.0181% all human contributions. The real scientific logic mathematical evidence points to natural phenomena like sun cycles earth orbital changes, dust, water vapor, soil respiration, ocean dynamics, and geological activity being the principal drivers of temperature and always changing climate on earth, carbon flows and compositions in the atmosphere and oceans. Whilst human emissions definitely play a role, they are a small fraction compared to the Sun, Water Vapor, Dust, Biomass and Earth’s system sources. Based on the data analyzed, we must conclude that human fossil fuel use and its emissions cannot possibly be the overriding force dictating global climate and temperature trends. Natural processes and emissions cycles operating over centuries and millennia are the vastly predominant factors shaping the climate system. In summary, anthropogenic emissions as the lead climate change driver is absolutely, thermodynamically, physically, unsupportable based on the radiation, convection, emission, sources, volumes, isotopic compositions, and molecular signatures involved from all and any real scientific perspective.

This is the woman who argues, with a straight face, that there is no such thing as a sex drive. This argument is total garbage. Yes, there IS a sex drive and, yes, you will die if you don't get it. Unwanted celibacy is like smoking. It won't kill you right away, but it will lead to a shortened, more miserable life. Men who have little to no sex have higher rates of prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction issues, and higher rates of heart disease. Men can also develop mental health issues like depression and anxiety. And testosterone. Is this woman medically ignorant? An actual biological chemical causes a need (yes, need) for sex. When testosterone levels decrease, so does the sex drive. Women use sex to get money and status from men. Ok, I get that. However, just because a woman's sex drive is secondary to gold digging, don't speak to men about something you know nothing about.

Humility has to be taught BEFORE SCHOOL AGE, then built on with the schools supporting the values. The breakdown of the family replaced the parents as the purveyors of morality, including humility, with the government. The schools also replaced the parents as the purveyors of food for school age children. If you wait for the schools to provide values, more likely you'll teach children how to feign those values. Of course, then they can become politicians.....

Look at our so called leaders. They set such a bad example. I have some wonderful friends all over the world, whom I have never met in real life, yet they are really dear to me. If you can meet them in real life, I'd recommend it. If you can converse with respect online, you'll be able to do this is real life. The works of the great poet, Homer, are filled with words that not only survive in Albanian but continue to be used. From Homer, you can get not only words but also phrases that possess all the signs of a typical Albanian expression. If someone were to interpret Homer from the Albanian language perspective, much light would be shed on the works of that famous poet. Between Homeric and Albanian sentences, there is a striking resemblance in expression, phraseology, and sentence structure. A study of this nature would help interpret Homer, since the Albanian language is older than that of Greece (Science Magazine 2023), much can be learned about the influence of this [Albanian] on Homeric and later Greek. Title: Unconquerable Albania Author : Christ Anton Lepon Publisher: Chicago, Albanian Liberation Committee, 1944 Zeus was a Pelasgian, not a Helen. Under an oppressive regime like North Korea, yes, no room for individuality, but, oppressive, controlling regimes are the *extremes of left or right*. The effect is the same. The extreme *right* also denies individuality: you have to fit whatever the regime decides is the 'norm'- otherwise you are ostracised, criminalised and punished.

This is the American dilemma that is sweeping the truth under the carpet!! As an historian of the Bible, I can appreciate the charge applied to those who know history and fail to tell it. It may not be popular but we must make it known, warts and all! Today little white children cry when confronted with the truth of how things really went down,MLK said it well,we are to be judged by the content of our character and not of our skin. Shame on America who had the Bible as a roadmap but chose to pick and choose what they would teach!! Should have put our arms around our enslaved people and shored them up instead of burning crosses and rapping and killing!!!
