What up y'all, here's another song for you ears. I haven't figured out a name for it yet but I will update this description once I come up with something! This one started as a riff I was going to use for an artist/band song, they didn't respond when I sent the idea over so I took it for myself. That's how it be sometimes 🤷. I prefer how it came out, turning it into a progressive rock track. I get to do more shred without vocals on top anyway. Yay!

On Guitar player podcast on Spotify you were on about Roth band and and Winger, when you were playing riffs was that through a Kemper?
Yes everything you heard on the no guitar is safe podcast was through my kemper. When I was playing with those bands we were using real amps though, Marshall jcm2000s for Winger, old Plexi's for Roth.

Nice to hear from Tokyo! I'd start with some basic country guitar tutorials here on CZcams. There are some great videos to get you started with the fundamentals. My First video 'Fast Country Guitar' could be a good one to start with if you wanted to try any of my songs!

This song is not a normal country song. It feels like progressive rock a little bit because of... a complex chord progression? 1:01 I don't know why exactly, but that sound reminds me the music of King Crimson. Fantastic!
Thank you, yea I like to mix things up a bit, my main criticism of much of country music is that it tends to be quite formulaic, it all tends to stick to quite predictable chord progressions etc. So I try to squeeze in some more genres to hopefully keep it interested, whilst still being in the 'country' genre.

Yep this one is definitely more chilled than the others, I've always thought it would be cool to do an acoustic album, something in the style of Andy Mckee or Tommy Emmanuel, it just comes down to finding the time to write and record which can be tricky these days with everything going on!
