Alright Legends!
I'm just here to document my renovations because my mum is always up in my business with "send me some videos" and to be honest, I actually really enjoy renovating. I'd like to have a record to look back on when I'm old and grey with fifty cats and no children to continue on my legacy so here's my channel!
So if you're part of the renovation generation then stick around and watch some videos.

Honestly you did. Better tile than my doggy tiler
This is exactly what I was looking for thanks so much
Thanks for showing us how. Will have it installed soon. Cheers🦘🍷🇦🇺
Excellent!
OK - looking for someone doing rounded pebbles. All these YT "experts" wimping out for the the flat crappy fake-ass pebbles because its easier- So I have you for a reference - tyvm Gonna give it a go. You did a great job pretty lady!
Concrete is in old buildings is or was normal to hold toilet in place
Concrete is to stabilise
You are lucky that grout was slow drying, you should never cover everything and then start the sponging. It could have hardened and would have been like concrete which it actually is. You would have had to tear it up. I'm glad for you.
Thanks! Educational. I'm still thinking I'm gonna get my brother to do the job. I get too grossed out. lol.
cool...how do you keep it clean? do you have soft water?
Well done you its looks lovely im gonna get hubby to do wall round the shower and bath would that work ? xx
Great. Now you've destroyed the integrity of the security door. Defeating the purpose of having a security door.
But my doggos are happy 😊
How’s that tile holding up after several years?
WHO SANDS, USES EPOXY AND A BLOWTORCH IN THEIR LIVING ROOM?? And with a dog hanging around yet. Coo Coo......
Yep that's meeeee 😎💃
First time watching you. Instant fan! I love how you explained things thank you!
Nice look
Red and silver looks great together or side by side .I just did a custom bass guitar.
Funny story, my husband's never tackled tiling and grouting. I told him to get on CZcams and watch the professionals. Oh no! I know what I'm doing. He says. Okay I let him go at it. He did that night with the door shut. Wouldn't let me look at it until he was done. We have two bathrooms anyway. The next day came he went to work and I want to take a look at it to see how far he had gotten. He tiled the shower and grouted it. However, he didn't pay attention to the videos nor did he watch any because he never wiped it after the 30 minutes. So now I have a tiled floor that has grout on it that is as hard as cement. I spent 30 minutes with a chisel to get the grout off this pebbles. I've only got a small square done in the shower. This is going to take a few days to get the rest of this grout off. I can't wait for him to get home so I can tell him that I was right and he needed to pay attention to the videos. Lesson to be learned. If you don't know what you doing, watch a video or get a professional. I'm so frustrated with him right now. I could scream
Didn’t get the bloody spacers did I 😣
I am in a rental in australia and we are not supposed to drill into any walls. I tried the sticky Velcro strips (four sets on either side) and the picture fell off the wall and the frame smashed it was less than 10kg but it’s humid here ($160 to replace just the frame)…so don’t want to do that again. Are there any options that fall somewhere between the damage the drilling does to the wall and the sticky Velcro strips? Thanks C
😁👋😅good job girl ,thank you for sharing 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo 👍👍👌👌😁
"promo sm" 🤤
Great job girl,you’re awesome ❤️💪
Big fail girl better cooking than try to instal tile
🤣🤣🤣 I can't cook!
great video - However, why do i have a feeling that - the dog door was suppose to go on the actual wooden door instead of of the mosquito net iron security door
It does both!
gotcha- hmm now Im considering doing what you've done - hehehehe- ive got the wooden and security door as well.@@realisticrenovating
Great video, you saved my life on the last grouting and clean-up! You rock!
Very well done and inspirational. It was nice to find a CZcams video that did not make toilet removal look like a piece of cake. I just had all the same issues that you had plus installing a Evekare raised height back to the wall toilet in my 1982 build Dalfield home in WA. The plus was the original plumber/tiler obviously damaged the base of the toilet before installation and hid it by burying the base about 2 inches below the tile level and then concreting it in and around it. I needed both the angle grinder with the diamond blade plus the demolition hammer to chip away at the concrete below the floor level before I could remove it. The concrete was above the screw heads that held it to the floor so they were corroded to the point that even an impact driver wouldn't bite on their heads and I had to drill them out. It also explained why the toilet seems so very low to the floor and was so difficult to get up from. Then I had to build up the floor with concrete and floor leveller and retile that area before installing the new loo. They also did the same thing as with yours on the floor outlet. I did buy some Oatly Liquilock Toilet Removal Water Solidifier Absorbing Crystals on ebay to minimise water spills (it worked well) and a Pick Up Stix Toilet Installation and Removal Tool on Amazon to aid with picking up the very heavy Evekare unit (this also worked well) noting I am a 70 year old with psoriatic arthritis in my back and hips and I had two toilet to do; one down one to go. At least the other one sit higher with the screw head visible and clean so hopefully it isn't concreted in below the floor level and will be a little easier to remove.
Sounds like a right nightmare too!! Best of luck with the second one and thanks for stopping by in the comments 🙌
I was wondering if I used a heat gun to speed up the drying process...would that work?
I wouldn't trust it because it's like an epoxy so I don't know if heat would make a difference!?
Thank you for sharing. A big help. Just what I had in mind. A bit worried it takes 3 days...and love your sense of humour, I think you need one when you're doing this sort of stuff...and patience.
Things are never that simple. Smaller doors are always safer but how well will your tall dog do with that size opening? I see the tall dog goes through okay.
Hi Edith, they both just get on with it! The little one kinda throws himself through it but the big guy just strolls on through 😎
Probably worth spending $200 for a Plumber to install…
Wax ring only used in the USA
You have no idea what you’re doing! You used a trowel to key in the grout?! Why not a GROUT FLOAT? also never tile onto tile with out priming it first! Yikes. Everyone shouldn’t make diy videos.
I love that you put in the whole unicorn 🦄!!!!
Are these comfortable to stand on?
Great Job , Well done . I'm impressed
Is priming not required?
Yes for the floor tiles there is a primer!! But for the wall tiles there's a topcoat...
@@realisticrenovating yes, I do mean the wall tiles. So it doesn't need the Dulux Renovation Range Primer?
@Truth with the wall tiles it was a separate clear topcoat! No primer, just the paint then a clear topcoat. However!! I think since then I've spoken to people who say they've changed their formula and you don't need one... I actually rang Dulux and got a really helpful person on their 1800 number who gave me all the current info when i was doing it... would recommend ringing them they were actually fab 👌
@@realisticrenovating ok, so this is where it is confusing. even on their official CZcams, there are some videos that show primer and some that doesn't. Perhaps they are region specific
Perhaps! I know everywhere I looked for the floor paint did not say to use a primer and when I first painted the floor as soon as I walked on it with socks on it all came off!! So I rang dulux to kick off and they'd just gone to a primer for the floor paint but were still rocking the topcoat for the wall tiles!
What size is the shed? New sub, what you get done is damned impressive. I'm ashamed of my reluctance to tackle things after watching you!
Thanks buddy, the shed is 6x6.5m it's 3.4 metres tall. To be fair I did attempt to engage various tradies cos I thought it was too big of a job... only when I kept getting messed around and ghosted did I get angry enough to do it myself!!
@@realisticrenovating That was quick, thanks for the reply.
I bet that the installer couldn’t get the toilet to sit properly, hence the concrete
I reckon you're right!!
Brilliant, just what we needed! Our DIY skills are zero but we managed to fit this with your help, thank you!
Well done, I like your humour & attitude . I'll definitely check the other videos out. cheers Pedro
Don’t buy the cheap Chinese toilets from Bunnings they don’t last they rust and are much more harder to install than say a Caroma save yourself some headaches and Caroma will tend to leak less
yes it is a thing, if your sponge is too wet it washes out the color of the grout, was it black grout to begin with? love the new look!
It was graphite grey grout!! 😎
Im buying my supplies to do my computer desk for my work from home space and I'm so excited. Thank you for making this for us to follow. Epoxy seems so intimidating to me❤️
You'll be fine!! Get smashing into it and enjoy!!
Hahaha cheers ya legend! I got same one and was wondering about the floor pipe.. I have to remove the above ground piece.. cheers again keep crushing 💪💪
Hey Doris! Tammy here. I can only imagine the fun you had with all that dazzle..it beats the glitter polish on the nails right!! It’s beautiful! Now I am looking throughout my house for the tables I want to transform..I am addicted and haven’t even started lol. Do another Doris!

I learned some new things from your list of top Five Tool a woman should have. I will check out your videos on Drills.
Oh my gosh I just love your personality and you did a great job! I definitely subscribed! ❤
Wow that's so easy to place it
how about pouring epoxy resin over them to make it a even floor?????
Great idea!
Don't do it will be too slippery
