Are these all hand made
@@dallas184 the loco in the thumbnail is scratch built. A few parts are castings like the wheels and some detail parts. Most of the other loco’s are kit built or RTR.
Ya’ll were running some spectacular trains that day. That King Richard II is drop dead gorgeous!

Wow. Being from Canada I had no idea that you could have live steam that small. How do you control the locomotives?
Just love those head end cars. of the two green engines.
At 12:30 if you could have lowered the camera and ignored the terrifying 20ft bush it would have looked really realistic with the sky backdrop :D

3v LED strips along the roof.
@@tomcreelman9411 is there a battery in every coach?
@@thomotions yes, a aaa battery holder under each with simple on off switch. 2 1.2v rechargeable aaa batteries don’t make the lights too bright.

Lovely layout and loco’s.
Were the trains built from brass, steel, stainless steel or cast iron? Those things are expensive and hard to do.
Amazing railway. The trains look much better when running slowly though (I say that as one who has sometimes been guilty himself of running too fast). Long live coal firing!

It’s a shame it’s soo difficult to film and operate a Loco at the same time. I’m going to need to hire a camera man for next year! 😂

It’s got fully functional Joy valve gear also Controlled via servo.

@@baconbuttybash it was built by my dad circa 25 years ago. Completely scratch built. A lot of planning, and design with a many iterations of the parts to perfect it.

Correct! Loco has been tested by the club so I will try to bring it to the open days I can make.
