    Very interesting - I like the format. I’ve had the same issue with long sample lengths as well. If you could do a tutorial in truncating sample length with a smooth fade, that would be awesome. I keep the Stompblock as a backup with a 2 Box Drumit 3 as my primary (hasn’t failed me yet!)

    Very interesting. I am especially interested in hooking up a high hat controller. Have you considered adding a bluetooth MIDI wireless receiver?

    • @DarinKadrioski
      @DarinKadrioski Před 3 lety

      I've left the door open to add BT in the future. A lot of that would depend on whether Zendrums ever embrace BT transmitters and move away from MidiJet wireless

    Why not open an account for some prepay if you have an idea of what the retail might have to be. And you can use that for your idea of how many people would be interested. In the highly unlikely reason the concept tanks, you can just refund. I'd be willing to do something along those lines.......because I know you're a committed ZD fam. member and you're not just going to disappear, LOL

      Thanks for the suggestion, Al. That’s not my preferred method of doing business as I’d rather accept transactions against existing stock. I don’t do pre-orders and prefer that money only exchange hands when product is directly involved. That’s also why I never do Kickstarters or GoFundMe.

    So what hardware do I need to hook my Zendrum up to my lap top?

    • @DarinKadrioski
      @DarinKadrioski Před 4 lety

      You just need a MIDI to USB device. A list of known compatible devices can be found at zendrumstudio.com/support/#midiInterfaces The simplest to get started with is something like the M-Audio UNO.

  • @tommason1698
    @tommason1698 Před 6 lety

    Darin, are the 16 layers all “one hand” or do they alternate right, left, right, etc? Thanks

    • @DarinKadrioski
      @DarinKadrioski Před 6 lety

      If you have the "anti-machine gunning" setting enabled in the Stompblock client (Settings tab, at the bottom) then the SB will cycle through adjacent samples. So if you give Restomp 16 samples, ordered LRLR you should achieve the effect you're after. Note that you'll need exactly 16 samples as otherwise Restomp will interpolate and might mess with the ordering.

    • @DarinKadrioski
      @DarinKadrioski Před 5 lety

      They are all 'one handed', however you'll want to check out the 'anti-machinegun' setting in the Stompblock client, which can help introduce some variance.

    Soooo excited. I hope there is a loop feature eventually and a way to stop all or silence sounds (kill switch). For me anyway lol . I can't wait to get mine this is such a game changer in so many ways . I can now feel comfortable to go to an open mic or smaller venue and not have to worry about taking a ton of things and I can also have multiple Zendrums ready to go on stage . Really can't wait to play with this
