    Any updates or better practices for the mirror cover replacement?? Are you sure that was a piece breaking off of the mirror assembly at the base, and not the cover,scary?

    Hi, hoping you can give me some help. I'm installing this now but I only have purple, grey and yellow wires. No black or brown. Should I attach the black wire on the product to the purple or yellow wire?

    • @evvish2027
      @evvish2027 Před 26 dny

      Hello, apologies as sometimes Tesla have changed the colouring of the wires. Yellow should be connected to black wire. Grey should be connected to the red wire. Purple is not used as it is for the energy release button only. I hope that helps. Any issues let me know.

    I used dishwasher detergent to get rid of the remaining glue. Just apply it generously and give it 15-20 minutes time. I had no problem to remove the rest after.

    I saw bits of broken plastic flying off...

    • @Brickbuilder128
      @Brickbuilder128 Před 8 měsíci

      You are correct. It is common for the plastic to break off during removal, which is why I do not suggest removing the shell for a shell swap. If you need to put on the OEM shell again, it could potentially not fit snugly anymore. Unless there is already an issue with your shell, I would suggest using a cover with 3M instead.

      @@Preciouspink The clips that hold the mirror are fragile and can break during removal, even on the OEM covers. A safer option is to use ones with 3M, that go overtop of the mirrors,
