Doors and trunk lids are a movable barriers that keep the elements away from the occupants. The water that is behind the doors are channeled away from you. Sometimes the water can be blocked from escaping the door layers. This can cause sloshing noises, unpleasant aroma and electrical switches to fail prematurely.

Nice video man. My Dads hitch would not latch in. I saw locking lever was bent and the pin part at the end is broken off.. no where in sight either so I think it bent up and held hitch locked last trip just by chance...Got lucky. Can not believe that a push nut is used to hold the lever that locks trailer to the truck. There should be a castle nut there with cotter pin securing the lever.. That would eliminate slop and the chance of failure. Might just tap and drill mine for one for a piece of mind. Anyways if your trailer is too high when hitching I think that the wide part at the bottom of hitch can contact the lever and break it. My Dad went to hospital last trip and had emergency surgery so I had to drive to ocean and pickup trailer, I suppose I had trailer too high and this happened at that time. I towed few hundred miles with locking lever barley catching. 😮 Glad I dident lose the trailer on the highway. It really is insane a lock washer holds that on.

I prefer the 3 speed option on the impactors and usually get the more expensive tools myself. This one is great.

Adjusted the lights to point lower and have not had anyone flash me with high beams. Worth every penny. I can see the road now, even with the lights pointing down. I did see a notification about the lights being to bright for highway use but it’s too important for visibility to go back to halogen. Make that truck work for you.

I initially thought I would leave the sliding hitch connected to the pinbox. I have not seen camper photos that have hitch hanging. If you see my other videos, as we go through the ownership process our ideas change. The units need maintenance, never know the lock lever can come lose slowly and not let hitch engage. It would look ridiculous hanging from the camper. It stores under the camper out of weather and view and I can role it out to service it and use toolbox. No one is going to walk into it under the camper. Campers are ugly and only one who like to see them are the owner. Happy neighbors are good to keep. Happy camping.

    • @tomgould2689

The answer to this question is research in your fifth wheel hitch. The box is where the plate is installed. If your box is different then mine you need the correct capture plate for your camper. The slide is almost universal and the plate needs to lock to or around the plate on your camper. Hope this helps!!!

Hunter, I also have the 2700, Great hitch fo getting to 90 degrees turning. Pulrite determines the correct capture plate based on the dimensions of your kingpin box plate. Exact measurements are quite critical. www.pullrite.com/fit (from pullrite web site) This will get you started. Their customer service can get you dialed in. I have no regrets or complaints about this product combination for driving down the road. Product does exactly as described with no worries. I have had this on the truck trailer on the beach also and it performed well. People’s complaints are usually about needing to be parallel with trailer to disconnect but you can pull swivel pins and leave the assembly on the pin box. I would rather think about simple things rather than how to release slide and then park. Don’t want a daily driver/truck any longer than this truck. Happy camping!!!

Tom Lowe, My truck has a 6 3/4’ bed. Trucks are getting bigger and bigger. The trailer is clear of my cab but you can’t use my equipment as a comparison to different truck and trailer. There is no standard with or distance between cab and rear axle. Campers for 1500 trucks are smaller due to weigh limitations in equipment, 1500lbs Max tongue weight. I am unaware that the 5’ beds could even have fifth wheel trailer due to clearance. The one pin uses tension to hold it on and the trailer hold it in place while in transit. No added hardware required. Was tempted to add bolt but don’t won’t to complicate things and drill holes into box.
