I have a 3 year old feral mare that my parents bought from a friend and im worried her previous bad experiences with humans may cause her to see me as bad as well. Admittedly ive clearly made some mistakes since i hadnt found your videos yet and didnt really know what to do, so i want to ask, would this whole process still be possible if i restarted completely? She also came with a halter already put on, so im not sure how to approach this. Should i take it off and restart her on it? She has a 5 month old baby that she's started to wean, so idk if thats an issue

my partner and i adopted a devil's garden mare who should be arriving soon. she's just barely been saddled, and will likely regress when she gets here. i have been looking for a good playlist of MY style of working with horses (owned them since i was about 7, body language and R+ emphasis with some pressure release) to give my partner (who has only taken riding lessons) since I will be out of the area for part of the summer and they'll work with her alone a bit, and this is PERFECT. i see pressure used too suddenly and sharply, but you're doing it just right here. thank you for this, hopefully this helps people learn to speak horse better!

I wonder if he began that nipping behavior as a result of his ear getting bitten by another horse. I have a filly that shows some signs of wanting to be nippy occasionally and she also has the tip of her ear, either frost or bitten by another horse.

Hi, I have just found your channel and have subscribed. I have gentled 7 mustangs, but 2 that I have now makes Mystique look easy. One strikes and tries to kick at me. She is very agressive. Main question, how did you get the rope around her neck. I can't think of any way to do that, and they would probably go nuts, bucking and running around once I do have it on? HELP!!! I really love your gentle methods.

So I tried training with rope to get him to work and move but he won’t make contact at all now. He used to eat alfalfa out of my hands now he barely does. What do I do to fix this. He doesn’t face me unless I bring his bag of food and follows me when I hang it. How do I regain trust?

It's crazy how rude and mean ignorant people can be. And to the person who said you shouldn't have horses if you can't see he's lame... Maybe they shouldn't have horses if they can't see that he's not lame, he's just gaited. Ignorant + mean people are the most dangerous kind of people IMO!

You did so good!!! So happy he found a good home and you did the best thing for him, helping him to gain weight and all before riding. How old is he? I always feel disappointed in myself when I show horses and they forget everything we've practiced, but that happens to everyone and the fact you trained him everything he knows in such limited time while working is truly incredible!! You've done amazing! Will you do future extreme mustang makeovers?

Excellent teaching. And a huge thank you for not acting like a stuck-up snob towards people who lack horse experience. Most horse experts are abusive bullies towards people who are not familiar with horses. Too many horse experts violently hate people who don't know much about horses. WARNING: Stay away from most horse trainers, because they hate competition from other people.
