I was probably 10 when I played 0.1 then watched the game evolved overtime. Stopped playing when highschool started. Now I'm nearing 22 and just bought genuine Minecraft on PC. I also make real-life customized minecraft signs as one of my business products. That's how I love this game.

I remember vividly, ghasts were for some reason added at an early point in the game than shown here. They were not accessible by spawn eggs even in creative, and was only accessible by 3rd party cheats.

It was just such a foreign concept to be able to play Minecraft while waiting for my mom to get done shopping back when I was 12 years old.

2011 - 2014 was the true golden age of minecraft.

Maybe it could return with some changes. For example, visuals and maybe some lines could be changed. The characters and general storyline are all fairly unique and original, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Just new graphics, and some line changes here and there. Basically, using this game to create a new and original IP

the hype for 0.9.0 was INSANE

The funniest thing is that Minecraft in C++ was originally created in order to have better optimization than Java. Now Bedrock works just awful compared to the Java version

In 0.3, TNT was first introduced. However, there was no flint and steel, so we had to press and hold the block just like when we break it to light it up. Sadly, it makes it impossible for us to remove TNT but only makes it explode.

I remembered playing the earlier versions of Minecraft PE back in 2014/15 but was disappointed to find out that I couldn’t change the skin, and I had to jailbreak my old iPod touch to install iFile and replace the default skin with a custom skin. Ohh times have changed!

People complain about Bedrock a lot - sometimes unfairly I feel But you gotta admit to get to bedrock edition from Pocket edition 0.1 is a minor miracle
