Thanks Mike. I knew there were things missing from my statement and now I have some ideas on how to re-craft. Thanks for saying it's OK to have a Producer's/Writer's Statement. I was doing that anyway but unsure if that was protocol or not. Also appreciate your talking about Actor/Producer projects. Everything on Film Freeway is so Director focused and on shorts in particular it is such a team effort and the head of the team might not always be the director.

I've got a comedy screenplay I've been working on, Speak Monkey Speak, about a hare-brained plan to jumpstart Evolution with chimps typing Shakespeare. I'm entered in the Comedy Film Festival competitions, and I found the judging comments incredibly helpful. Writing seems like a vacuum sometimes, and then veteran eyes give you a different perspective, areas that need work. I'm always surprised to find new ways to improve a screenplay. The temptation is to sit back and say, "This is perfect!" But you know it isn't. I'm lazy, too! You're just tired of working on it. That's where fresh, informed eyes on your work.give you new energy. Even if a judge doesn't comment, his number ratings tell you what areas he/she consider your weakest. When I got my Georgia scores I immediately opened Final Draft and got to work!

how SMART and EVIL , buiness model based on indi filmmakers fees🥲🤭🤣 ( i dont have any film yet) but il never use Filmfreeway , why i should run after you and pay alot of fees , you are nothing , fees collector , indi filmmakers must do his own job and go directly to film festivals
