I haven't changed anything since my build guide about a week ago, but I don't really want to put up another build guide until after patch. don't want people wasting gold/time copying this when I'm going for new stuff in about a month anyway haha

until patch it's keen berserk, vicious, penetrating backstab. basically just a 'berserker's axe' from pvp track with keen berserk

less than 6 weeks until the free for fall pvp island where you drop the resources you've gathered if you get killed before you make it off the island. not full loot but I think that's as close as you're gonna get haha

it's nice for the hatchet but 350str is too good for gs to pass up, heavies already hit like a truck on serenity so boosting the abilities is nice

thank you brother 🤝 and ye you can ppl do but you lose a bit of hatchet dmg. if I wanted the 300dex node I'd just go spear/gs. and I do use divine, if you're talking about the nwbuddy link it's from my build guide vid where I was showing what temp pieces I'll be using until I level my crafting on fresh start. can get pretty damn close to perfect aside from divine and the pants

I basically never pve unless I need an artifact or named piece haha but I just throw on anything with luck/enchanted ward and whatever gems I need. hatchet, spear, gs all still my normal stuff. always blooddrinker :)

I talked about that in my build guide last video, it takes away all the empower you would get from the balanced blade perk but since it still has an illegal perk combo it still hits harder than any other greatsword would. nature's wrath doesn't get rid of things like honing stone or slash dmg on ring or berserk so I do still have some empowers

it's not really a bug, just an in-game mechanic meant to help lower level players in the open world that ppl abuse. they just ran a super low gearscore off-hand weapon to drop their overall gs and basically get extra free dmg mitigation. devs tried to fix it once already but it's still not great

I'm looking as well. My buddy plays. I've been looking for another mmo that has good pvp. Ultima Online... died.. I got bored with WoW.. now I only have a ps5 so im seeing what mmos are available

well, if you want action combat instead of 'choose target, wait for game to play itself' then new world is ur best bet right now in my opinion haha the only thing that looks like it'll even be close as far as combat is chrono odyssey but that won't be out for another year at least

I'm pretty confident we'll have a solid player base again once we go back to getting updates. been dry for a year straight while they got ready for console but less than 2 months to go now brother

@@PJsurelyyea nothing compares to gameplay and with the new artifacts the build combos are almost endless. I’m currently trying to get a heavy shirk fort shirk heal set going.

@@PJsurely I haven’t really looked into the beta at all. I’m only been back about 3 months after 14-15 month break. Missed it and came back and not oct is right around here corner. Been kinda not wanting to spend the money on armor since they are changing it again

well that's good to hear haha but yeah some of the new perks coming are at least interesting enough to consider, I'd basically just use mostly named pieces for now unless you're going to stay on your legacy char after fresh comes out. and we have a short open beta 13-15 sep if u wanna see what's coming in oct

ye it's not as big of a deal in a 1v1 sometimes you can just trade thru it, but when you're in onslaught and getting hit from ranged while you're also fighting a melee you definitely feel it

yeah I had same feeling - wasted heartrune saves option. Especially that there were 3+ enemies often and HP was at 20-30% only. my only tought is - maybe he was afraid to not proc defy death during heartrune (it sheathes hatchet)

thank you brother 🤝 some people like sin so this is definitely just my opinion, but I don't like either of the artifact hatchets. they're good for throwing hatchet tree but not for berserker playstyle since you're missing a lot of damage, it makes you choose between moonstone, pen backstab, or keen berserk. I'd much rather have them than refreshing move/KJ. disintegrate stacks are already one of the longer rends at 8s so that'd be plenty of time to get in and back out since you're light not sticking in the clump long. you don't need 300 con grit with berserk but I personally don't like going less than 200 con for light melee, u only have one damaging ability with torrent so 350 str kinda gets wasted. personally I would do 300str 100dex 200con. I like the max disease vg tho, I keep one around from when arenas were popular haha

just throw on a cheaper attribute food, that's all you really need brother. nobody runs battle bread in opr anymore really so you can just grab that early and basically get a free honing stone and 5% fortify nobody else has

sometimes I play with the inferno firestaff artifact, it's easier to just leave the gems in and deal with missing 5% slash absorption than it would be to make a whole extra armor set

@@PJsurely word up, other than that, great build. I fox with that set up a lot too. Mix in spear some for more survival. One thing I noticed is you never getting stunned. I stick more on the right side of the great sword tree for more survival. Using the roaring rupture, steadfast and crosscut

spear been one of my favorite weapons to play aside from hatchet n fs but a ton of ppl were running it so I been off it for a bit haha I still get stunned once in a while usually a sneaky riposte but if I have berserk ready to pop it doesn't matter. I ran steadfast over crosscut for a long time when flamethrower was super popular just for the extra stagger lul

if that was all it came down to, it'd be boring as hell because there'd be no skill gap between anybody with good gear, but you very regularly see the same names at the top of the leaderboard. some weapons barely light/heavy at all and are almost exclusively used for their abilities. gear isn't actually very important aside from artifacts which are free for anyone to get, all other gear is auto leveled up in pvp modes to even the playing field and in the open world there is gear and level scaling for pvp specifically. hope that makes sense brother 🤝

I still enjoy bb mostly for the net shot, but I've actually been averaging more kills with this build surprisingly. one nice thing about this armor/jewelry combo is I can change my weapons at any time and not have to change anything else. i removed all temp empowers from my skill trees and I just leave the ignited moonstones in my armor in case I feel like running inferno that day. bb is still good I just like to mix it up mostly

I'm aware they had to make console specific servers, but just as an example some of my console-only friends are getting the game and we'll be playing together. I can't imagine I'm the only person that recommended the game to someone so there will still be overlap. but fresh start is fun for me, I loved the brimstone patch, and even if my new server dies off everything is cross-server now anyway and I may be doing a solo self-found run on my new char haven't decided yet. I'd stress less and just enjoy the game brother, it's meant to be fun 🙂

the console only servers are going to die extremely fast, if someone was smart they would start on a cross server world

not on shirking heals or a lotta the things it was working on, no. basically just lifestaff abilities trigger it now

I've tried it with the perk on armor n perk on the weapon, it's great for assassin style build but social d is just more versatile which I like for the way I play. can use it if I need to escape or stop somebody outside melee range

same brother, n it's a lotta fun when musket union isn't in the match haha decent mobility n a lotta damage

so my understanding is that the way controller works now isn't exactly the same as how it will be after 'aeternum' launch. saw some clips that'd suggest it's quite a bit different actually. right now there isn't pvp target lock tho
