FAN FICTION: Vincent Price visits the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast...
Since I was a kid in the 1970s, I've LOVED Vincent Price. I had several of his spooky records of the era...which meant so much to me growing up. We no longer have our beloved Vincent to record new material for us, so this is a fan fiction mashup of what it MIGHT have sounded like if he recorded a "Price of Fear" episode in which he visited the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast.
It is not really Vincent Price and not really a "Price of Fear" episode....BUT something I put together with great affection for my own entertainment and any other fans of Vincent.
FACT/FICTION: The Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast really does exist, but it wasn't open to the public until 1996. It was opened by Martha McGinn and Ronald Evans, who did a fantastic job recreating the 1892 look of the house. I had to move the time frame earlier to be within Vincent's lifetime, and created a fictional character "Frank" to avoid using real people. I'm not affiliated with the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast, but I have stayed there, and highly recommend it.
The details of the crimes in this story are true to the best of my understanding. There are many reports of haunting activity in the house, but for the most part, the details of the haunting activity in this story are fiction....EXCEPT for ONE TRUE EXPERIENCE that happened to me while I was staying there. We rented both the guest room where the Abby Borden murder occurred and the Lizzie/Emma suite. While eating dinner alone in the guest room upstairs, the light DID suddenly flip off by itself and the door immediately slammed shut, leaving us in the dark. There was no one else in the house, windows were closed, and no breeze. We examined the door and light, and saw nothing unusual. The door had been standing open fine all the rest of the time we were there, and no other issues with the lights. So that one incident REALLY did happen to me, hence inclusion in this story. It is QUITE a spooky place to stay.

I love Judy Garland! I love her sense of humor, her storytelling and her wit! The Song she sang was beautiful, moving! and brought tears to my eyes. Judy Garland is very frail. Whoever fixed her hair did a terrible job! She is all hunched over and looks like a very unhealthy 95 aged person at the young age of 46. She lacks her usual energy. Her singing voice is no longer the beautiful, strong, vibrant voice it once was! It is sad to watch!

what the industry did to her is appalling, they got her addicted, turning her into a money machine. She was a fighter for life and so resilient but chemicals took her down early. Her children ADORED her and so do I. She truly had TALENT, unlike today.

Ethel Merman should have become an opera singer as she had such a loud voice as we hear in this clip. I do not think any fan of Broadway musicals would mistake her voice for another’s. She was like the sun; her rival and friend Mary Martin was like the moon as she had a very gentle voice. I miss both of the queens very much. They were just amazing singers and actresses.
