The Bread of Life Discourse (John Chapter 6) is one of the seminal passages of the Gospel for Catholics in regard to Jesus' teachings on Salvation, Eternal Life, and critically the gift of the Eucharist, which we believe to be Jesus' TRUE divine presence, body and blood, in the bread and the wine of the Eucharist.
During the 2024 Eucharist Congress, @jonathanroumie_official , the actor who portrays Jesus on the television program @TheChosenSeries , shared his testimony about the power of the Eucharist as well as his reading of John 6 for the 60,000 faithful in attendance.
In his own words, Jonathan stated that "because of the timeline where we're at in the series, we will unlikely ever film [this passage of John 6]."
At the time of the creation of this video, The Chosen series has not yet concluded so it is still possible @DallasJenkinsOfficial may still yet include the Bread of Life Discourse before the end of this series, but until then (if ever) the faithful have been given this wonderful gift of hearing Jonathan Roumie's spoken interpretation of this treasure of the Gospel, a great supplemental gift alongside the most precious gifts of Holy Scripture and the Holy Eucharist itself.
It would be a great loss and missed opportunity if The Chosen series does not include this teaching in the program, but we can still get a glimpse of what that portrayal could have been.
