Bad luck boys. This was the dirtiest I have seen Port play. I agree that they were on Izak from the first bounce. We were winning when the bump happened. Think of you Izak. I have no sympathy for Houston and I hope that he misses all the finals season, not so clean as player. I could imagine what Port players like Dixon would have done if it was one of their top players. Lets come back tougher and stronger next year.

Another year of optimism ended in misery. I will always support the boys through thick and thin, dreaming of the premiership era, which is now nearing 30 years. Crazy thing, though, on their day, they should fear no one. Consistency is obviously missing. Hard decisions on some regular faces need addressing ,the future is tall tall tall.

The thing I really noticed today was how Sam Berry fumbles the ball in a number of instances. Especially in that last quarter. Both when under mild and when there was little pressure. In a number of instances that turnover of the ball cost the Crows forward entries and in turn caused the ball to travel in to Ports forward areas. The fumbling/juggling of the ball is also why he gets caught holding the ball against him. Because at crucial moments where he needs to handball out of trouble the fumbles cause him to get caught with ball. He is looking for the next play before securing the ball first. Something he needs to work on in the off season. I admire how he goes in for the ball, whereas some, like Rachelle tend to ovoid, which is a great strength of his.

I hate to say this but I think Port are going to win the premiership this year and there is nothing we can do about it. Absolutely nothing!. And we need to change our mentality so we can be back up there competing in future seasons ahead no matter what critics we face. Mental toughness was one of the reasons we failed in 2024 after the disallowed goal last year. There were some great wins like the home showdown, win over Essendon but some pretty poor efforts too and we certainly copped it big time.
