Getting Started Wtih Canoeing - Ray Goodwin Bushcraft Show Presentation
frontierbushcraft.com
Ray Goodwin works closely with Frontier Bushcraft on our canoe-based courses and expeditions. He is a well-respected and highly qualified paddlesport coach and technical safety adviser, with a long and illustrious career. He's also a dad and has had great joy in gently introducing his young daughter to canoeing and other aspects of paddling.
In this presentation Ray brings together these different strands of experience of introducing people - young and old - to canoeing in order to offer some solid advice on the dangers facing inexperienced paddlers and, of course to be avoided, as well as the joy and fun of it all.

The best night was 7th September 2015, when the lights were visible even before it became fully dark. Later on we were treated to the most amazing display, a small fraction of which was captured in the timelapse shown here. Enjoy! Get more information on our Bloodvein trip here: frontierbushcraft....

G'day Ray. Hope you and your family are keeping well. Ontario, Canada boy here. Experienced on flatwater but only now getting into white water. I've got the boat (Esquif Prospecteur Sport 16) and I'm doing my research on outfitting it with d-rings, bow and stern grab ropes, painters, airbags, and maybe down the road a spray deck. I'll be using the boat in a tandem capacity for river expedition trips. Don't think I'll be running anything over CIII for a while. Middle of boat will carry gear (no room for center airbag). Now the question is do I put a small airbag in the bow allowing for leg room? And whatever size I can fit behind the stern seat? Would that small amount of flotation be worth the cost, rigging, and performance I would get out of it? Thanking you in advance. Fellow paddler, Brad Tooze a.k.a. TOOZECRUISE

I need to buy a toggle lock for a two wheel upright shopping cart. The cord broke in places. I replaced cord with narrow string. The new toggle likely won't hold the string tight. I can use this technique to keep toggle lock closed. Many thanks.

I watched this video just about a week before going on a Spey trip and having never, done such a trip or much white water, I thought oops I hope we don't swim too much thankfully we (mostly) did not, It was a brilliant trip, reasonable level water level and good weather, It was Salmon season but I think we were considerate. I just re watched this to savour the trip.

Great video, thanks again Paul! I recently bought a bag from the American company "Mystery Ranch". It's incredibly well made and comes with this zip-pull as standard, which is something I'd never seen before and instantly realised is just 'right'. It works much better than any other method... hadn't thought until now of upgrading all my other kit! Also a great way to add a bit of colour and personalisation, by using colours. Which duffels do you recommend?
