The rope may hold 300 lbs. The limb when you add in motion, won't. You're adding centrifugal force. For each pound of the rider, you're adding how much centrifugal force? Have you done your math?? Take my word on it, keep fat people off of your swing, kids only, lol.

I don't trust trees with my rope swings

Great idea! In the past I've used a shoe tied to a rope to get it over the tree limb - but now I have a higher limb and I can't throw the shoe high enough. The sling shot is a great idea and I am going to try it. Thanks for the video!!
