Great question! Often our clients (the buyer) are looking to buy a business that is represented by a broker. We typically just work with the buyer directly and provide a very limited scope of service in our Quality of Earnings Sniff Test. Ultimately we are trying to help the buyer determine whether the deal makes sense and whether it is likely to be able to secure financing from SBA based on the projected cash flow and purchase price. Yeah I think it can certainly be a tough business! Honestly, most small businesses are like that I would say. Most small businesses seem to follow that "all that for $40k per year" BUT if you can find the right business and execute well, entrepreneurship is one of the best ways to create life changing wealth in my opinion.

Hello! Great question. Yes, you should still be eligible to apply for an SBA loan as long as you are current on your EIDL loan and are not delinquent or in default.

That is a great question! The answer is.. that it depends. If you are seeking an SBA loan to expand your business, then yes your lender will likely want to see some projections. If you are just looking to refinance, add some working capital, etc. then your actual financial statements should suffice.

Hello! Good question, I believe you can still create that GPT but the challenge will be the user upload function. I think it may require a premium account to create GPT's. In our experience, ChatGPT's ability to accurately read a spreadsheet is hit or miss depending on the complexity and layout of the spreadsheet. You may have to allow them to upload the spreadsheet to you and then manually upload it yourself if you just want to use your custom GPT. But I'm you could automate it with zapier and some other automation plugins that we haven't tried yet.

Are you asking whether a lender would provide funding for inventory for your salon? If so, yes you should be able to use an SBA loan to cover the cost of product inventory that you are going to sell at your salon.

Great question! So technically if you are current on your tax payment plan, you are likely still eligible to apply for an SBA loan; however, banks may add their own eligibility criteria that is even more strict than SBA's official criteria and may not be willing to lend if you are on a tax payment plan. I would specifically take a look at this list of SBA Microlenders because they are non profit, mission based lenders, that tend to be more flexible - www.sba.gov/funding-programs/loans/microloans/list-microlenders
