Hey thats my store lol! I just stumbled upon this video.
He casually commented about using “1,900 pounds” of counterweight. That’s a Volkswagen Bug!! Where would someone even get such a thing?

I wonder if they make smaller submersible and refillable floats for residential docks to install in the fashion
Reallly would love to know more about the ballast and how it’s made we have a marina and are trying to put floats up under the store thanks
This was really awesome to witness. We have a sailboat ⛵️ in California and I am learning as much as possible about how everything works including marinas and docks. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!
Where did you get your sardine can?
Ever find out?
@@ToughCowboy nope sure haven't. Doesnt look like they are willing to respond
Can you please tell me how you made your sardine can?
Ever figure out?
Why not just use a come a long to lift the whole structure by the piling to replace about three or four floats. Only takes "about five minutes".
Less expensive too. Just use a short chain to wrap around the top of the post, hook the come a long to the chain, then hook other end to the pole guide or structure and Jack it up. If theres no piling then use a 4x4 four or five foot taller than the water depth
@@jordanjohnson8688 Thats great if the water is less than 10'... We have floating docks setting 70' plus.
@@hunterfant1289 agreed, so how do you do this?
@@hunterfant1289 I have floating dock in 30’ deep water, need to figure out how to sink 2,000 lb float like this to install under floating dock while it is already out in water
@@ToughCowboy hey how did you en up doing it?
Do you have a video or description of how you built your sardine can?
I don’t but I’ll get one or at least some pictures
@@STEAMBOATSINC Where can I find these how to pictures?
Would really love "sardine can" buildings instructions. In dire need of something like this for our house boat. Or where we could possibly rent one in lower Alabama.
Any word on how to make this?
@@maryellenulmer4082 Ever figure out how to make this?
What hardware did you use to attach the floats
Do you know anyone that does this in Georgia or any ideas for someone in Georgia
