No not at all! Since you’re older than 18 years, you can go ahead and test for a Class C license (which is like one step ahead of Class D which is what 16 and 17 year olds get), and that does not require you to have a permit before. Which also means you won’t have any restrictions on when you can drive and how many people you can drive if you pass the test!

I didn’t drivers ed online at a website that is literally called driversed.com haha and you should be able to get a certificate of school enrollment at your school’s front office! I just had to ask the front desk / secretary and she did the rest for me!

Technically it does not, you need a certificate of school enrollment. But depending on your location sometimes they are lenient about said proof, for me I just had to show a recent copy of my transcript since I forgot to get a form and they still let me take a test so it does not hurt to try, as long as you have the other important documents like the adap and drivers ed certificates!

I don’t think it’s mandatory, because I did a 45 degree turn and didn’t get any points off! As long as you don’t stop too much (make as much of a smooth turn as possible) then you should be good!

unfortunately I believe Georgia has returned to the regular full length test, but the driving portion in my opinion is much easier than the parking portion!

I live in GA, and so there are lots of DMVS depending on where you live near. My DMV had cones so I could go and practice.

There are lots of places in Georgia that offer driving lessons, like Drive Smart, A1 Driving School, Roadmasters, Defensive Driving etc. Some of these places let you take the test with them and they'll give you a license if you pass no need to even go through the DMV, or you can even practice yourself by driving with a parent or practicing with cones! However most insurance companies significantly reduce your costs when you show proof of taking a lesson with a licensed professional! Good luck!!

The DMV usually sends you a reminder email before your appointment and and it includes stuff you have to bring but for me I brought my learners permit, certificate of enrollment (it’s a form you get from your school that says you are currently attending), vehicle registration and insurance (if your under 18, your parents would provide theirs), ADAP certification (I got mine through my health class at school, if you don’t have it you’ll have to attend certification classes and take a test, it’s a alcohol and drug awareness program), DRIVERS ED CERTIFICATION (you can do drivers ed online , the programs usually cost like $20 and take around 30 hours but it is required), a parent to sign some stuff, and that’s it! It’s seems like a lot but in hindsight it’s like 5 pieces of paper. Good luck!!

I don’t remember if it said how long the test was when I signed up but it was honestly shorter than 20 minutes. I was done in like 5-10 minutes it was super easy, I think it only took so long for me was cause I was nervous and kept messing up, but you should be done in 5 minutes other wise. They honestly make you wait longer to take the test than the actual test takes.

@@lekhyaadari2918 when you were taking your test were there other people waiting to take their test? Like where they could see you do the test? (Im scared that if I fail they’ll see me do it wrong haha)

@@giovannareyes4010 no absolutely no one could see what I was doing except for the lady who administered my test and my parents (who were in the testing area). The test takes place behind the building, in an empty parking lot and there's like a fence around the area so no one can see what you are doing unless they are actually in the testing place with you past the gate. If you mean driving forward then no they don’t take points off for that. It’s great if you can park within one full curve but there’s nothing wrong with having to adjust your wheels if needed, points will not be taken off as long as you don’t hit a cone. Also good luck tomorrow!

The cones reached up to my windows so I could see them. No I didn’t look back when reverse parking, I just used my mirrors. Just make sure not to continually use your back camera if you have one, only try to sneak glances if you must. Good Luck you’ll do great!

thank you so much! I started practicing parallel parking probably two weeks before my test date, I didn’t try very hard the first couple of times but the few days before my test I practiced multiple times until I was able to do it perfectly every single time. I didn’t really need to, I feel like once you know the basics it’s pretty easy to parallel park I only did it so much because I was very nervous. Good Luck!

I took mine in Georgia as well! The examiner won’t be in the car with you, they’ll be monitoring from outside and both you and the examiner are required to wear masks. If you’re under 18 it is mandatory to have a parent or guardian in the car. Good Luck! You’ll do great!
