While it's true that the blooms sleep for the season, this is a serene and beautiful time to visit the Preserve. Our native plants don't disappear during the cold months; they simply change in appearance. Walking the trails in the quiet winter, everg...

Perfect timing, Cas! Trash is going out tonight and I can think of at least 3 things that need to get out of my fridge. I will find 5!!
Wonderful video!! So beautiful
Sorry but that's a basin, not a watershed as defined by Oxford
Amazing nature of plants kingdom. Thank you so much. We need more🙏💐💐💐💐💐
AWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! I love foxes!
I'm growing this for the first time, and it grows like a weed! I just planted it this spring, and it's going to flower in August! Interesting that it folds its leaves up when it gets dry, and unfolds when I water it. I got it for a host plant for butterflies, and I'll report anything I see on it.
Great info on a great plant, Santino!
Love these videos! So well produced and informative! Thank you, Santino!
I was delighted to see a hummingbird sipping from my Cup Plant flowers yesterday afternoon. Like you, Santino, I really enjoy my cup plants and the variety of pollinators they attract.
Thanks, Santino! I just planted cup plant in my native plant garden. Something (deer?) browsed before I had a chance to spray. Now, it's protected and rallying!
That's awesome. The stalk of the tall one I featured unfortunate broke during quick blasts of rain we had over the weekend. Now it bows with gratitude. :D
If you plant cup plant then your neighbors will likely get involved whether they want to or not, lol. It spreads profusely, or at least mine does!
I assume that's what the title is alluding to :D
Awesome presentation, thank you! Just picked this up at my local nursery for the native garden
Excellent 👍
Awesome I didn't know it was bacteria that was responsible for the fixing the nitrogen I had no idea so is that the same for legumes? I know beans in general fix nitrates into the soil, so they are part of the Three Sisters. Either way super cool and great video
I am a lover of Cup plant personally
Thanks Santino! Love these delicate little pink beauties. Do you have the wild berries which I've heard by the name of "wine berries?" On a walk yesterday, I tasted for the first time and they were really good!
unclear of your location
I love your videos! There always informative and fun. 😊
Another good informative video, Santino!
Thanks for promoting native host plants!! Homegrown national park w Doug Tallamy
Loved the vid but I was looking for sun/shade, soil, watering too.
I want one so badly
I usually find sassafras on sandy ridges cohabitating with American Chestnut and Chestnut Oak.
Very interesting 👌
Pretty pink blossoms❣️
very interesting - well done
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Very interesting plant!
Thanks so much!
We really enjoyed this new video with Great photos too!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Does it fix oxygen? Does it absorb large amounts of carbon?
Watersheds are pretty neat.
Please support this lovely place!
😊😊
Thanks ❤
Great video, very informative. I believe I was gifted a prickly pear. I hadn't realized it was native to Pennsylvania. I definitely agree about the fiber glass comment.
great video, thanks. one of the better Wild Senna videos on youtube
Wow, thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
so is the american hazelnut self fertile? or does it need a group of bushes
That's terrible to hear :(
Is Pycnanthemum pilosum a good variety?
Middle Tennessee here. How do I get a blight resistant sapling?
Great clip. Also working hard to reestablish the footprint of the chestnut
CUTE. and one of my faves <3
The plants are beautiful in winter. The birds also find it a good plant for food.
I have 12 native asters in my garden. They are my favorite flowing plant. Can’t get enough of them.
thanks!!!!!!
... save the rainwater for thee growing plants ... if it's legal ...
Moved from Lower Bucks to Florida. So miss the beauty of fresh falling snow.
