If you add all those points to your bike build, you end up with a harley road glide.
Nice instruction, but without the bike looks so much better 👍🏼
The speedo...when it pts to 12 noon that is 100mph. In this way you can just glance. 9 oclock is 50mph 3pm is 150mph. Lol
I'm with you on the gauge cluster, not the rest. Different strokes for different folks. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching!
I own the anthracite with red one. Adding a backprotector CAN just about make the difference between sizes. Make sure you try it on with one in if you plan on upgrading later. A downside to the RevIt jackets is the zipper. It seems proprietary to RevIt and not compatible with most standard zipper in motorcycle clothes (the RevIt zippers are thinner). I have a few other branded jackets and pants, and their zipper all mix fine, but the RevIt jackets zippers don't work with non-RevIt pants. Yes, you can buy a RevIt beltzipper for jeans, but it's a lot more expensive compared to other brands beltzippers. So I always sow a extra standard zipper into my RevIt jackets. A second downside is that the thin material tends to buffet (of flap) in the wind which is not very comfortable. But overal for the price this is a nice cool jacket.
Klim has a link on their website to fill out and they will mail you an ICE card for the * pocket.
As far as UHS-II, I have used Lexar and Transend with good results and write over 200 and read over 250. I like Transend because they make chips and are not just a re-lable company. Not sure about Lexar, but they are a solid reputable brand.
Great video. Really considering buying this bike this week. In talks right now. I took a test ride and it wasn't enough to guage a ton. How do you find the comfort? Is it a ton of weight on the hands?
I find it comfortable, but to be fair I usually don't do rides longer than 90 minutes or so, so I can't really speak on comfort past that.
I own a GT+. I just finished watching all the Hayabusa videos, and now the GT+ ones all in one sitting. My original intent (watching the Busa vids) was because I have been giving very serious thought to trading my GT+ in for a Hayabusa. I am now conflicted.
First of all, thank you for your support in watching all the videos! Now as for the choice, I will say this, if I owned either bike I would not be upset, both are really great bikes. Buuuut If I had to buy just one, I would most likely get the Busa, but its not as big of a margin as you might think, I would say the best thing to do is to find a dealer that will let you test drive one, at the end of the day it is all just subjective preference. I think the first time you take a busa out, you will know if you want to trade it in or not.
Hi, thanks for the detailed video. Which type of level 2 knee protectors fit to this jeans? The Revit L2 protectors seems to be substantially bigger than L1.
I used REV'IT!'s RV14, its quite a bit thicker, but it still fit in the jeans, hop that helps.
Has anyone figured out if there's a purpose to those two "belt loops" on the edge of the front zipper?
Oh, might have found something - there's a hi-viz vest that looks like it might have straps that go through those "buckles"
Honestly, I am not sure on those.
It's for the Hi-Viz Connecter Vest that Rev'it makes
What are your thoughts on the Peak Design Everyday Messenger Bag?
to bad that tailtidy is not legit in sweden the cop is always say whe cant see the numbers haha ;/
Yeah it's a problem in many countries
I picked up the Ritmo gloves in the spring and have liked them more than I thought I would. I ended up with the black after waiting three months for the Hi Viz to come back in stack but it took too long. I will say, though, as I've experienced with several Rev'it gloves, there is an inconsistency between right and left gloves. The most noticeable, and borderline, irritating is the significantly twisted left pinky that places the seam under my finger so it's against my grip. Not bothersome enough to write the gloves off, but defitinely a QA issue that could easily ruin the wearing experience for someone.
Interesting, my personal pair doesn’t seem to have that issue, but something ill keep an eye out for as I am about to pick up a second pair (I have hi-vis and wanted a black pair as well).
I bought this bike about 3 months ago. It was between this bike and the Kawasaki version. They were both so close but I wanted a more sporty feel so I bought the Suzuki. I have a Honda ST1300 which this is going to replace if I ever sell it (I may not sell due to how much I like it as well). The only thing I would say about most reviews on the Suzuki is that several people do not like the brakes, I believe that the brakes are like this due to being set up for a passenger, don't want tp throw them over your head...lol. I used to think that about the Honda until I was told that's why the brakes seem not like my old sports bikes. Great vid look forward to seeing the 5 things you don't like.
Youre annoying as fk
Excellent video! Thank you!
Just finished this, thanks for the help
Great video! Thx for the huge tip to dissipate the heat at about 9:00 !
I love how nimble it is... for a bus. Lane splitting is ok where I'm from and it's fun to spook scooters in and among the cars, even switching lanes in still traffic, you can weave it in and out of crazy urban congestion no problem. But the best thing is that it is not a wheelie monster. I hate sport bikes that wheelie all the time with low handle bars. If I want to wheelie I use my Africa Twin.
I have been looking for a good pair of summer gloves for a long time. Revit fits me well, but most of their warm weather short-cuff stuff near me comes with TPR sliders (or none at all), which honestly are a terrible idea for tarmac. I have been waiting to try out the Held Sambia Pro, but I would probably go with this as this looks sleeker. But, the Held model does have amazing ventilation.
Is a nice jacket to use in summer? Or is it too hot? I see your video with matador and I don’t know what to choose
Personally I like the matador better but the Argon 2 is AAA rated vs the Matador being AA, so if you plan to do track days id recommend the AAA rating. As for summer both the Marador and Argon have perforation on the chest but the Matadors holes are bigger so it breathes better, with that said depending on how how it gets where you live both might be too hot for the summer and Id recommend a mesh jacket at that point. Personally I don't ride in my Matador past 85 degrees.
@@FifthNorth i like the two of them, but I need to see the argon in neon red on video and I don’t see anywhere
Where did you buy this air deflector ? Send me the link please
Motodynamic.com
The installation is exactly the same on the R model as well, in case anyone is wondering.
In this version of jacket I thought the ghost was also in the back?
No it’s just a regular level 1 D30, which I highly recommend upgrading to level 2.
Hi, I am becoming a biker soon and I’d like this jacket as my first one ever. I won’t be driving in low temperatures but I’d like to be warm when it comes to mid-season temperatures, do you think this jacket could keep me warm enough ? I really don’t know anything about gear so I’d really much like your opinion on that one ! Thanks mate :D
What temperature ranges are you looking to cover? This is a full air/mesh jacket, depending on your "Cold Tolerance" I would say it's good in 60 degrees Fahrenheit and above, and for some it's close to 70+. At the end of the day everyone's cold tolerance is different but I personally don't wear mine under 70.
@@FifthNorth I forgot to tell you that I live in France, so I think I’ll ride until it goes under 60 degres Fahrenheit. I already made my choice, based on your video and some advices from friends, thank you !
Awesoem jacket, I love the design of teh matador, too bad this one is more expensive.
Yeah the Matador is one of my favorites, I am assuming the type of leather is what makes it a bit more expensive.
love your videos
Thank you!
Why would the tank hold less fuel?
They redesigned the tank as a whole and reduced the capacity to fit the new design
Correct they made it smaller with the new design
Not nit picky at all, damn annoying is my version, enough to put me off the bike.
Sad to hear, I absolutely love mine
ii have bought this jacket together with level 2 elbow protectors but they are to big for the pocket at the elbow where the protection is supposed to be. You said you always swap level 1 with level 2 protection, which of the level 2 elbow protection fits ?
Yeah REV’IT! Has different sizes, the ones I used that fit are RV13 for shoulders and RV15 for elbows, I hope that helps.
@@FifthNorth thanks for responding that quickly!
3L = 3 layer
Yup it sure does, and for some reason my brain kept saying liter hahah
It should have reverse.
Not sure that would end well
QS is absolutely flawless on mine.
Yeah I have since confirmed that the unit on my demo bike was defective…I recently rode another one and it was fine.
This or the control air for a summer jacket? No stores with Revit where I live. I appreciate all of the AA revit gear reviews you have been doing. Thanks.
No problem, glad you find them helpful. Well if its strictly a summer jacket I like the light weight and fit of the Control Air better, but, the Tornado is more versatile with multiple layers so it really depends on if you need/want that versatility. If you are strictly all summer then I think the Control Air is the route I would go.
Just found your channel....Glad you are still with us and in good health. I just bought a new 23 Hayabusa a week ago and I am loving it. Thanks for the videos !
Hey I appreciate that, welcome to the channel and congrats on the busa, it's a great bike!
Picking up one in the same color as yours today, brand new! Very excited! 😜😃
Installed on mine and worked fine when I tested it but the next time I tried to turn it on, the tft is dead and won't come on. Any ideas what I could have done?
No idea, have you tried reversing the install? I have had mine on for about 4 months now without issues. Try reaching out to Motodynamic and see if they have any ideas.
@@FifthNorth yeah I ended up not getting those rubber sheaths all the way over the metal connectors and it blew the ignition fuse. Easy fix
@@Whiskeytangbro Thx for helping us keep a heads up to insulate the wires
Love my 23 Rocket R. I love the engine. It could sound better, but I'm still happy. Not so keen on the gauge cluster either. They could have used the dual cluster with a more modern approach.
Agreed!
Nice review! I'm quite tall, would you say that the Parallax is a bit longer than the Matador, or they are very similar? I find the Matador very short, even for a motorcycle jacket. Thanks!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but they are almost identical, if the matador was too short, the Parallax will be as well.
@@FifthNorth Haha no problem, great to know thank you! Then back to the drawing board it is :)
Synthetic artificial leather external parts = NO WAY FOR ME.... of course its not as durable as real full grain leather. So this Jacket is NOT SO GOOD VALUE in reality. You easily find full AAA leather Jacket for cheaper. (Furygan or Segura for example) If I look for a leather sport Jacket, i want real leather, not crappy imitation. Strong synthetic panels are OK for more confort and flexibiliy (inside arm panels), but leather parts have to be RÉAL leather, again. Sad to see such a trustful brand making this kind of marketing trap Jacket.... Today, so many motorcycle products are cheap synthetic / leather imitation. Gloves, most Boots are now micro fiber that is CRAP vs real leather, and sold VERY EXPENSIVE for what it is. Modern marketing = high profit margins = cancer. Be aware of what you are buying. Even if it looks good, pay for true quality / durability / sécurity, not for ILLUSION. Sorry 😉 PS: Thank you for your honnest vidéo, saying it includes artificial leather, because many shops sell this Jacket as it was a bargain, made of full BUFFALO leather, that is DISHONEST. 🔥
Hi what height are u? Just want to check for my size. 193 cm. Thanks
Im six foot…per google thats 183 cm.
@@FifthNorth thanks 🙏🏻
Between this model and revit Airwave 4 which would you recommend?
Both are good, but, lately I have been doing about 90% of my rides in the Marrakesh and have been loving it. I got the MG exclusive grey/blue color that I am wearing in the video, does a great job keeping me cool.
@@FifthNorthSo two issues with Marrakesh for me. 1 it's very difficult to find in India even compared to Revit. So will definitely have to import it. Second thing is that I want pockets for chest protectors and it doesn't look like Marrakesh has it. So I'm currently trying to decide between RS Taichi Kompass Air and the Revit Airwave 4
Absolutely an amazing video man, you got me through my install. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching, happy to hear it helped!
Two big gauges on the dash resembling the two headlights would be a Triumph !
Great instructions!! I’m not mechanically inclined and went on great. One thing on the black plastic, push on the tabs to slide them in. You may have said it idk. Thanks again 🙏🏻
Thanks for the kind words and for watching, much appreciated! Glad the video helped.
That's a lot of logos and branding! 👀
Yeah it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Love the look of the jacket - would make me feel like I should be in a Mad Max movie
is this better than the induction pro for hot weather?
I have heard mixed opinions on that, but more say that the Marrakesh flows more air than the induction pro. Personally in riding in both I am not sure that I could tell the difference as I felt that both flowed really well.
@@FifthNorth I'm dialing in from 40C hot Greek air. Traditional mesh jackets don't make the cut. THat's why I am asking.
Is there an aftermarket one anywhere that has a visor but does not need the removal of the original panel?
Not that I have seen, but honestly I also didn't look that hard for one as I was happy with the Triumph option.
