This is a side project we did apart from our normal line of air quality monitors. There is promise in this technology with advances in signal processing and a greater understanding of how the brain achieves sound localization. We simply don't have the resources to pursue this to its potential. If you would like to assist financially, or otherwise, in this worthy endeavor please contact Dylos Co...

Marketing video of Dylos DC1100 and DC1700 air quality monitors showing particle counting
Steve. This is Robinhood from Portland Oregon. I was in the Unthank Plaza Fire. I'm saving for one of these. There is over 40 of us who are disabled and in danger. Thanks for posting these. I'm taking a break from homework and learning ❤🤝🏻
is this water resistant?
It's vital on fit terms to put one strap over the ears. This is not an optimal donning method, but yet quite interesting.
The only video on CZcams with sufficient explanation on CADR units and from where it was taken. Thank you, sir.
This is interesting, but the theory is not quite 100%. The amount of particles that come through depend on the velocity and volume of air inhaled (as well as temperature,) it's not constant and it depends on how many particles you exhale, but I think you know this. Is it measuring pressure loss too? I love the Dylos 1100 Pro.
The counter measures .5 microns and 2.5 microns and larger. "PM 2.5" is 2.5 micron particle sizes and smaller so the counter can not measure total PM 2.5 concentrations.
Would be nice to show this along with how effective the filters are at filtering the air with 100% fit.
Can switch over the unit to microgram/m3?
Please do an air quality test for Air Washers such as "Venta".
Kinda funny that his demeanor was that of someone having a "gotcha moment". I thought he was going to say Honeywell lied about their numbers lol. Thanks for the info. Just what I was looking for.
no sound
Thanks
Very informative video on the efficiency of mask protection
sign me up!!! Where can I purchase the Delos RFT100?
You should put on the market a « slave » air purifier that would obey a threshold set by the air quality monitor. That air quality monitor and the air purifier(s) would be linked via wifi. Team up with RabbitAir?
Honeywell stands by their brand and make a solid product. I have two at home.
This is a fine unit from a technical standpoint, but the design is ancient and badly needs an update. The UI is terrible, and the computer interface is a serial cable (seriously). I'm surprised the instructional video doesn't come on a VHS tape.
Thank you!
Great video. Im asthmatic and have used air purifiers for 40 years. Im in the market for a air purifier and will spend upwards to $200 Canadian dollars. Whats my best bet? I also take filter cost into effect. I like the once a year hepa filter change on purifiers as it cuts cost of operation. Whats my best bets? Thank you.
Be nice if we could get a answer to this question.😠
Nice job mate !!
Awesome video. Thank you.
whats your views on dyson
Very innovative
The enthusiastic presenter is behaving like a typical salesman.. very last Century! Instead they should pretend to be a dumb consumer asking awkward questions and conduct a Q&A interview with a technical expert on camera. Questions might include: Does the HUMIDITY in the room affect the readings? If so, can the device take that into account? Should the air in the room be still so there are no drafts etc? Will it measure levels of dust mites (approximately? And many other questions that consumers would like answers to. Move on, nothing to see here.
Very high humidity will give higher readings. It will count the water vapor as particles. There is no calibration for it.
Look to this channel we test the best machines, on the most sick people czcams.com/play/PL_rc_8H_h-TykTh5OV5tkW58gwCwBD6jY.html
Nice!
If you put the counter directly at an air source, you will get inaccurate readings. Forcing air in will change the amount of air being sampled, usually resulting in a higher reading.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. It definitely helped me narrow down my selections.
you can tell this company just is behind the times...who uses serial cables any more
So many variable that it is useless
It only measures particle size, not what kind of particle. So it could as well be moisture (water vapour) it will indicate, from cooking or an air moisturiser for instance, which are harmless.
It only measures particle size, not which sort. What you want to know is fine dust or pollen etc. If you for instance have a lot of watervapour in the room, this Dylos will also measure this, although it is harmless.
Water vapor would be considered large microns. He mentioned that smaller microns are potentially more dangerous and the focus.
DigitalRaider1 That depends on the source. Vaporizers and ultrasonic humidifiers often produce droplets of < 5 micron. They are registered by the Dylos as small particles.
Paul met Debbie this
My Dylos DC1100Pro definately counts water vapor as particles 0.5 microns and up. If it is humid outside the meter will often read 2x to 5x the same reading on a low humidity day. Just raising the humidity in an enclosed chamber will give the same effect so I know the particle counts, other than water vapor, didn't cause the increase.
how to measure pm2.5
how to calculate pm 2.5 and aqi
Again a great and very informative video! You are a total pro. THANK YOU! I see the real money I should spend is on solving the problem (I know my air is very very bad). I get a layer of black looking motor oil type grease on the leading edge of our slow moving fan above our dining room table in about a month or two and it is NOT cooking grease. Best Solution: As I watch your video I noticed a video to the right of it titled: Build a do-it-yourself air purifier for about $25 BUT I found that HEPA filters 24" x 24" cost around $200 so humm, a fan is $20 and ?...
Great fast moving informative video. I think the PROPER cable should come with it (does it?). Your website did was very lacking in specs (zero specs). I wanted to know if the $`199 one checked .5 and 2.5 and after this video I guess it does. Also, battery lasts only 6 hrs but is it rechargeable and how? Can you plug this into AC power or a laptop or? So many questions, so little time for answers but hey, keep up these great videos and make sure people see them on your website.
Thank you fore reviewing this product.
Learning a lot about the Honeywell Air Purifier and how it actually works.
how i calculate pm 2.5
nice pro video i am gonna buy honeywell
amazing vedios
I worked through the formula
I just got my DC1700 battery operated 0.5 micron unit yesterday. Seems to work good so far. I am sure glad I got the battery powered unit, because I am going to take it to different places to test the air. It would be nice if the "USB RS232 DB9 Serial port Cable COM Port Adapter" was included. I got one on ebay with the windows 8 driver cd for only $6.00. The Dylos logging software is great! Easy to use and logs graphs the data in real time. You can print it or store it in log files in your computer. Another reason to get the DC1700 over the DC1100 is it time stamps the sample. The 1100 does not. So far very happy with the Dylos 1700 for the price. It opened my eyes to how dirty the air actually is and how important HEPA filters are to people with asthma and allergies.
Thanks. Is the DC1700 much more useful than the DC1100pro besides its portability with a battery. If I would not connect the counter to my computer, does DC1100-PRO-EMI have more useful features than the DC-1100-Pro? Thanks.
In my 10x12 bedroom with 7 large true HEPA air cleaners going all at once, my counts drop in the entire room from 1200 to the 0-7 range at 0.5 microns in only 5 minutes! Outside air was about 600. The air in my hallway outside my apartment was over 2000! The Dylos particle counter tells me that my HEPA filters work! I have posted lots of videos testing the DC1700 on my channel.
Hi, how to get it to Europe?
