22:07 I remember being at St Pats during that 2007 loss against Linden and the 2011 loss at St. Ants. That loss at Linden hurt deep because I remember the bball team beating Huntington Prep on ESPN and them walking into the school gym during an assembly we were having that next day - I think it was a Friday and we were watching a movie. man them dudes looked TIRED 😅 it looked like they just ran a 3 triathlons and swam a lap across the Hudson that morning - I knew at that very moment beating Linden would be an up hill battle even though we were #1 in the country at the time. I think they played Linden at the Dunn a day or two later, and I knew from tip off it was going to be a long day. I remember spending a late night at the school that day and rushing back home to watch the game; caught it at the end of the 1st; I still think Corey was the most legendary player St Pats had - wasn't there when Shaheen or Al were and yeah they put the Pats on the map, and of course Ky was the best overall, but man Corey probably the MVP of St Pats all time 😂; he was Kyrie before we could fathom a player could be as good as Kyrie; of course at the time we didn't even know what we were watching with Kyrie, we just knew we never seen anything like it before, not even in the NBA - but it was too early to understand what he was, but Corey? man that dude was something else. and that Linden team was stacked, probably Linden's top team over the last 2 decades. But that one game on ESPN literally changed HS basketball into what we know it as today. I'd take that loss at Linden for that win against Huntington on ESPN any day of the week. But man that St Ants lost at the RAC was BRUTAL, hands down the worst feeling lost. Still think that was the biggest HS bball game in Jersey and even national history. we we're undefeated and had beat Austin Rivers and Winter Park on a buzzer beater on ESPN that year - Kyrie had left for Duke a year before, the same year we got disqualified from postseason play so this was the revenge season. even though the previous year's team was better, teams still couldn't beat us. but St. Ant's flat out had our number. they knew exactly how to play Mike Gilchrist and we could do nothing with them; I remember being in the stands at the RAC during that game; I liken that game to us being in a strait jacket - thats how badly St Ants had our number. that was the official last clash of the Titans and St Ant's walked away with the with the win. what's worse is they had a few guys on their team that spent a few days at St Pats because they thought about transferring after Paterson Catholic closed down - I wont' even name them haha. What's even worse is I had blood-relatives on St Ant's team and I remember staying after the game and congratulating them about an hour after the game once they came upstairs out of the locker room - talk about pain haha - but yeah that's how close Jersey HS basketball was. we also heard the rumblings of our school shutting down too. man we had a documentary filmed on us that year and everything, it was so bittersweet and then we shut down a year later. so yeah, that St. Ant's loss left a sour taste in the school's mouth. we knew we were close to the end but didn't know how close. and KB left a few months later. I still remember it like it was yesterday - they called the basketball team downstairs on the loudspeaker and he let everyone know. definitely a sad time at the school at that time. but I'm happy Chavannes and The Patrick School picked up where we left off and is continuing the legacy - godlike work by that man. but man, you could do a documentary on St Pats, St Ants and St Benedicts during the mid 90s to early 2010s and put it on Netflix and it'd be a most-watched series, that's how historic that time was. I remember seeing Rae all the time at the school and wasn't sure what he did at the time but I knew everyone on the team loved him and that he was KBs right-hand man and that he was important haha. Glad to see him where he is now. yeah we got slander from other schools in NJ and they called us "the evil empire", but I'd bet my last penny that every student at every other private school would pay their last dollar to attend St Pats during that time.
