This particular ladder truss is medium duty, so light weight fixtures are good to go. We would recommend calculating your total load (including wires, clamps, etc...) per whichever type of trussing's load specs. Also remember to account for the dynamic load from the fixtures movements as well.

Sometimes there is material on the stage you can't readily move out of the way. Moving stuff out of the way can take unreasonably long and delay work.

Hey John, thanks for the feedback! The holes are prefabricated from the manufacturer. We've essentially beefed up the base plate allowing for us to safely build a taller unit by bolting two base plates together without customizing/drilling each plate with new holes. Global not only tapers the pin holes in the half conicals, they also taper the holes for the pins in the physical truss as well. The inside diameter (on the inside of the truss) is smaller than the outer diameter on the outside of the truss, pinning them from the center out isn't a possibility. Having the bolt stems there isn't as obstructive as you'd think.
